Might not have been the massive trailer some of us have been expecting but it did show a few very important things: - Fully voiced cutscenes for the hunter (0:22) - Mounted combat for melee weapons (0:43) - Longer monsters interacting with complex terrain so lagiacrus may be possible (1:18) - A mounted dodge which implies a fleshed out mounted combat system (1:25) - The palamutes drift ability? (1:28) - Monster raids on the hub area? (1:40) - And of course fighting multiple large/medium monsters at once.

Kinda sad I didn't get to see my beloved insect glaive but railgun dragon is cool too. The idea of crossing a desert while being chased by a dozen sand gators should also be quite interesting. Problem with the REngine, is that it wasn't exactly designed for open world games, which is why Dragon's Dogma 2 struggles to run as optimally as the other recent Capcom games. That's why Capcom unveiled their new improved "RE-nXet-ENGINE" ("REX" for short) October last year, so I really hope Monstet Hunter Wilds is using the new engine!

@@JeanKP14 yeah, the pre hunt village music, the food before the hunt, choosing the weapon and build for the next hunt. You then just enjoy the beautiful map and endemic life on the way to the monster, and then its a dance with the monster that are so supremely animated with little animation variations that they feel like real animals and a combat system so deep which has become second nature after 100s of hrs practice and you cant wait to land that juicy big bang hammer combo or the TCS or the helm splitter or the full element discharge or whatever big move you are building towards for the weapon you chosen. You then gather the spoils of the hunt, upgrade your equipment and do it all over again. People get fixated on the meta builds, the truth is you can hunt even the most challenging monsters with any of the upgraded weapons trees, it might take a couple minutes longer but everything is viable, its just about the hunt. (except solo fatalis, you better be on you A game and have the best gear because of that 30 min time limit, lol)
