I played this game a few times after launch years and years ago, and was a good 300-500 hours in, I'd just been farming prime weapons and frames, leveling, slotting, leveling some more, before I finally got back to the main story and finished I think it was "The War Within"? I shipped my pants when the character creator screen popped up. Imagine being hundreds of hours into a game and having that truth finally revealed. No other game will ever replicate that feeling.

I took a break for about 2 years, but i started playing around 2014 or 2015. The Second Dream reveal was magnificent, and I wish I could relive it for the first time again. The team at DE has done a great job with keeping the game F2P. I have put money into the game, but it was primarily cosmetics, tennocons, and genuinely to support the game. Props to DE and their various teams' effort to make such an impactful experience.

This game receives alot of hate.... From noobs that cant use their brains that is. Ive been playing Warframe since 2015 and i can honestly say it has its ups and downs but it is a very decent game... Ive only spent 40 bucks in the 8 years of playing and it was for cosmetics. To be fair, a game really shouldn’t have to rely on the veteran players of the community to teach new players simple things unless that’s the point of the game. While Warframe fosters a pretty friendly community, I don’t think the intent is to leave new players to the community’s mercy.. Warframe has been pretty notorious for having god awful tutorials and guidance for stuff that’s new to the player and there’s so much to take in at once that its really hard to soak in all the information and pinpoint what to do to progress. I know I would’ve never bothered with the game if I wasn’t introduced and guided by someone else.

After putting in 2511 hours I set the game down 12/3/2021 and I still constantly think about reinstalling it and getting back into it. I feel like I've missed so much, though. I'd almost have to start over...but I wouldn't because I remember WHY I had so many hours into it. All that grinding and all that forma spent.

I used to play this game religiously and was a boss, love solo survivals too, loved making top builds, had my own clan, every frame and weapon even multiple frames that created my own theme of infested prime builds. I had alot of rare stuff, collectibles yeah you could say I was the collector as my ship looked like it was from a GOTG museum. I had every mod and enough gear to sell stuff from mods, relics, primes even doggy prints i had my stash. Then they released a infestation update and strangely enough after that update Warframe crashed my PS4 pro which was brand new. It then stated my Warframe was now corrupted and after alot of messing about it didn't matter it actually broke my console and I was littered with a virus that infected all my games, my saved data everything. From day one hardcore Warframe fan every day to that day now I'm officially retired from it, I shed blood, sweat and tears for that game and I always stick to my plan if a game destroys my console I'm done. Last game team to destroy a console was Bethesda and I still ain't played one of there games since last fallout screwed me.

sounds like you have your mind made up but they have cross save now, so if you have a PC you can import your progress over. never had any performance issue on my custom build.

In fact i pumped money into it too, to own just rarities and it cost me a console. In some ways it was a blessing because that game literally ended up like entrapment. No room for other games constantly stuck in that one game for years. Before i walked i ended up being a tutor, like i ran a Jedi Temple full of Tenno lol, folk joining my clan and learning to play, learning to hunt Eidolon lol yeah that dust can stay settled this Space Ninja retired from that gaming world.

Most of their cinematics you won't understand anything if you are not playing it. Also these cinematics aren't in order. The lore doesn't follow straigh forward. Sometimes the lore tells you some side story, sometimes things from the past, to understand a bit of how everything was created and sometimes move forward. This is a game you will only understand if you play it. And when you do it becomes a collection game with routine fast missions.

I've spent thousands of hours playing the game on my ps4 but now that I'm on Pc I don't want to redo the process of getting back half of the stuff I grinded for years.
