In my opinion at the time when RDNA 4 based series x successor will be released with 599$ price tag,sony should and have to sell only ps5 pro with 399$ price tag and ps5 slim should be gone and discontinued in early 2026 . because series x successor will have atleast 34 tflops of computing performance.which is not even comparible with 16.7tflops of ps5 pro and 10.3 tflops of ps5 slim.if sony wants to really sell ps5 consoles untill early 2028 they should lower the MSRP by a huge margin

You know you're at the top when even Mark Cerny name-drops your platform, like DF, during a Technical Seminar! That’s next-level recognition!
@corey_massey5 сағат бұрын
I don't think Cerney is name dropping DF as recognition, but more as an acknowledgement that that they are a popular resource for gamers online...not necessarily that what they say is correct or that they should be used as a resource. It would be the equivalent of name dropping Angry Joe or IGN because they have millions of subscribers not because what they say has any sort of merit or value.
@chettlar2123 сағат бұрын
@@corey_massey I mean no because he used the quote to communicate a point he was making. That's more than an acknowledgement that it exists. That's an endorsement of their ability to communicate accurately
@corey_massey2 сағат бұрын
@@chettlar212 He quoted DF to articulate a point that didn't need the name drop to articulate. He drops DF name at 07:29 of the video and uses them to say that it's better to have double the processing power....which is a quote from the DF video on the rumored 33tflops of PS5 pro. If anything it shows he watched the video and thought it amusing....not that what they say has any weight or bearing on the subject he is talking about. DF like any video game outlet is media and they have a bit more technical knowledge than the average games media but in no way is Mark Cerney endorsing them in the way they are used online as the authority on games and quality.

Let’s be honest, this should have been released before the system came out, it doesn’t help its problems, $700 with no stand or disk drive and minimal performance improvements in most games, but it would have shown the system in a better light than what they decided to do which was show to show games and point out details that the average gamer would run past in most situations, I still think the Pro isn’t worth it for most people and that it should have come with the disk drive and stand in the box, but this presentation made the Pro make a little more sense
