Yup more gamers should actually learn about how the sausage gets made. I have far greater appreciation for game making when Ive listened to dev podcasts on the game makers notebook, GDC talks etc. there is a lot that goes into it and sometimes it feels like a miracle at some of the stuff they make and how it all comes together.

In my opinion at the time when RDNA 4 based series x successor will be released with 599$ price tag,sony should and have to sell only ps5 pro with 399$ price tag and ps5 slim should be gone and discontinued in early 2026 . because series x successor will have atleast 34 tflops of computing performance.which is not even comparible with 16.7tflops of ps5 pro and 10.3 tflops of ps5 slim.if sony wants to really sell ps5 consoles untill early 2028 they should lower the MSRP by a huge margin

You know you're at the top when even Mark Cerny name-drops your platform, like DF, during a Technical Seminar! That’s next-level recognition!
@corey_massey
@corey_massey 5 сағат бұрын
I don't think Cerney is name dropping DF as recognition, but more as an acknowledgement that that they are a popular resource for gamers online...not necessarily that what they say is correct or that they should be used as a resource. It would be the equivalent of name dropping Angry Joe or IGN because they have millions of subscribers not because what they say has any sort of merit or value.
@chettlar212
@chettlar212 3 сағат бұрын
@@corey_massey I mean no because he used the quote to communicate a point he was making. That's more than an acknowledgement that it exists. That's an endorsement of their ability to communicate accurately
@corey_massey
@corey_massey 2 сағат бұрын
@@chettlar212 He quoted DF to articulate a point that didn't need the name drop to articulate. He drops DF name at 07:29 of the video and uses them to say that it's better to have double the processing power....which is a quote from the DF video on the rumored 33tflops of PS5 pro. If anything it shows he watched the video and thought it amusing....not that what they say has any weight or bearing on the subject he is talking about. DF like any video game outlet is media and they have a bit more technical knowledge than the average games media but in no way is Mark Cerney endorsing them in the way they are used online as the authority on games and quality.

Let’s be honest, this should have been released before the system came out, it doesn’t help its problems, $700 with no stand or disk drive and minimal performance improvements in most games, but it would have shown the system in a better light than what they decided to do which was show to show games and point out details that the average gamer would run past in most situations, I still think the Pro isn’t worth it for most people and that it should have come with the disk drive and stand in the box, but this presentation made the Pro make a little more sense

While I do have my gripes with Sony as a company and with lots of design choices I do respect and love hearing Cerny's class like lectures

Get a steam deck 😎

@@benjiskitts Steam deck is great, but I would say the Nintendo ecosystem is quite different. A Steam Deck can deliver similar quality like Indie Games on Steam Deck, but Nintendo is Indie Games on PC in Tripple A quality, which is probably why Nintendo is one of the few companies not bothered by the industry crisis right now.

I love my PS5 Pro. Remember guys, you need a high end monitor/TV to appreciate it. Don’t buy a PS5 Pro for a 1080p TV and expect results.

It’s a shame that a PS Tech seminar is probably too niche for Carvey to do a skit on SNL, cause it’s like nearly 1:1

Whoever wants to buy a ps5 pro, you must understand from the entire video that you need an OLED screen. ‏samsung or Sony 120Hz is the best to give you clarity and average performance. The Neo QLED is considered average. The device was equipped in 2020, but you don't know that I expect the ps6 to be manufactured after the year the ps5 pro was released. We all know that the company offers a high-performance device, so the developer has the key to the appearance of his powerful game on the device. Thank you

Only thing I wish they did was at least give the cpu a 20-30% increase in performance. I think would’ve really benefited the pro but I know the PlayStation 6 will blow us all away.

I agree the gpu is fantastic playing POE on performance hitting 80fps in the wilds and immediately drops to 40fps as soon as you get around other players in a hub area. Completely CPU bottlenecked.
