I was given MGS1 as a child by my uncle, and it didn't come with the CD case, and I wasn't allowed on the internet! So, here's a fun fact - If you call the colonel over and over again, eventually he gives you Meryl's codec. I can't remember exactly what he says, but I'm pretty certain its him that gives it to you. This game thought of everything

Matthew Olges Well, obviously my opinion is very subjective. I love FFVII but people's opinions are very split when it comes to FF and which one is best VII, VIII or IX. Rob for instance would say it's IX. For me it's VII but MGS is closer to my heart by far.

The idea behind this series is so good. It's a shame that the codec didn't get used more, like every time they enter a new room, up until the point where Christmas snake started repeating dialogue because they've heard all of the useful information. But it's sort of counter intuitive for the nature of the task so I get why they might feel like it's not right to call so often. Having said that, great great series. Always good for a rewatch. Great series 👍👍👍
