FFXV - Later in the game you are in a compound and Ardyn is speaking to Noctis on an intercom. He tells you exactly where to go but I purposely went the other way, you know, to check for loot and then Ardyn speaks to you again saying he knew you'd go that way. I was so shocked! But it was a pretty neat detail.

I love it when characters n games that ask you to collect specific items for quests are amazed or taken aback when you already have the items they need and the player character is like “I already have those” or “is it these?”.

In Tomb Raiders 1 if you jump in Midas hand you get turned to gold. At that time I knew of that legend of Midas' Touch. Especially with Alladin 3. But I jumping on the hand anyway and was like bruh when Lara turned into gold.

God of War 2018 has alternate dialogue for taking out the Valkyries in a bizarre order. For example, after defeating Gondul she’ll scream “freedom” and Kratos will be more baffled than in the mood to ask questions since it’s supposed to be the local Valkyries at Midgard that you’re expected to warm up on first

Remember how in the original Ace Attorney trilogy, you would always know if you presented the right evidence when the music stopped playing... except for the very last case in the trilogy, when you present the final evidence and the music continues to play regardless of what you present. 😂 Like, the whole trilogy was building up to that moment, when the developers knew exactly that every single player would get a heart attack and reload the game immediately. lol

I never even noticed if the music stopped after presenting correct evidence or not - I rather always had an eye on the amounts of life in the corner which would disappear when correct. And even if it kept on blinking - no need to panic yet, it could be possible that another choice was about to follow.

The devs know everything. That is why they put the 'I Swear! I Did It by Mistake!' in Lollipop Chainsaw and the 'What Are You Doing?' and 'Daredevil' trophies in the Nier series. Or if you pirate a game, they'd make it unable to play like being unable to grapple anything in Batman Arkham Asylum. Or if you think cows are resource cows in Witcher, they send a Big Cow who thinks the player is the resource material. A really BIG cow. Or how they know that a player is gonna light a stick of dynamite, thinking they didn't light it, throw it on the floor to shoot the fuse (cause remember they definitely didn't light it), only for everything to go BOOM.

The first time I encountered Patches in a Soulsborne game. I was so happy to see an NPC (even if he was slightly creepy) that I didn't question going near the hole that had some treasure in it.
