Another great video. I’m looking into buying a few button shy solo games so I’m working my way through your button shy play throughs to try and figure out which ones would suit me best: they have so many!

Actually I have a question for you: I really like thinky solo puzzles that tax my brain. I also like nice artwork in a game. What Button Shy games would you recommend?

I'd say ROVE ticks all the boxes here - I do have playthroughs for that one as well on the channel. It's a nice puzzle with adorable artwork. Other solo games that might interest you are Ragemore (which is a bit more complex) and Ugly Gryphon Inn (which has a really cool theme). Apart from that, the classics Sprawlopolis and Food Chain Island are really tricky puzzles you might enjoy. I have videos on all these games on my channel - maybe those help you! ☺️ EDIT: Oh, and of course Skulls of Sedlec is great! But you watched that video already, although I even have more on my channel for that game.

@@SirThecos you’re more than welcome: when I spend money on a game I like to be confident that I’m going to enjoy it and keep it. Your videos really help make that easy. Helped me decide that Spirit Island, Everdell, Wingspan and Cascadia are right for me, but perhaps Parks is not.

@@SirThecos I’ve got your ROVE video bookmarked to watch today, I’ll look up Ugly Gryphon Inn too. I think I need to watch the Ragemore play through again as the game did seem complex and I think I’ll understand more on a second viewing. I’m not put off by complexity though: if anything I love the challenge of a really complicated game!

Thank you for the walkthrough. I misunderstood the rules and thought the cards needed to be moved from the collider in order from left to right, and was struggling to understand how this was a game. 06:04 shouldn't the free Strange and free Anti-Strange in the background annihilated each other, as well as the free Charm and free Anti-Charm in the Detector?

Honestly, I haven't played the game in a while and the rules are complex enough that I'll have to read them every time I play the game. 😅 Have you found the answer by now?

@@SirThecos Just watched your video as I've been enjoying this game lately! For anyone in the future, yes immediate annihilation occurs when a Flavor and its Anti-Flavor are unconfined together in the Background or Detector, ie Charm and Anti-Charm. Both are removed from the game.

Sir Thecos, I love your playthroughs very much. But the one criticism I have one every one of those is it's quite confusing when you explain the game at the beginning; I'd need to look at a how to play video for it. 😅 And also maybe sometimes you can show how the setup works even though your style is to montage it? Furthermore, I think it would be great to explain the rules as you go so the game is started and the viewers are gonna sit back and relax as you play, going along with the flow, instead of trying to imagine the rules you are explaining in the beginning But don't get me wrong though! I still really love your playthroughs, these are just some of the "eh" I have noticed after watching multiple

Yeah, it is quite tough to get into - also, it's pretty abstract.

Even after watching, I am still confused. It seems like 90% of the card is meaningless. Just the 2 words at the bottom.

Yes, the game is definitely quite complicated. And essentially you're not wrong: You only need what's written at the bottom - the graphic displays the same as the text is describing.
