@@jonathan_tong93 Why do I want console-exclusive crossovers now with RR8 the way they did Soul Calibur? Captain Falcon on the Switch version, Xbox version gets a "Doom" crossover, and the PS5 version gets an "Initial D" crossover.

No RR8 so far, they really broke the tradition of releasing a new ridge racer game with every new PS release since the PS4. R4 and Ridge Racer PSP are available on PS Plus though, there's hope.

I had never heard of Ridge Racer until this game. I saw it as a Demo in a Gamestop and once I tried it, I knew I had to get it once I got a PS3. I played the game for years and even did a GameFAQs guide for it. One of the best games I have ever played.

Ridge Racer 1-6 was the same exact game with updated graphics. They acted like gamers don't have muscle memory. At least 7 was a totally different game and level design

The cars and tracks and GP structure are so cool, but I feel like the Ridge Racer physics really held this game back. It doesn't have to be a sim, but even with, like, Gran Turismo physics, this would have been so much better...

On one hand I agree with bduddy, I was so shocked to see Ridge Racer's gameplay for the first time this week "RREEEE cars don't work like that!" Ridge Racer 64 seems the most mind-numbingly fast in the series: 0-60 mph in only *1 second*, _Reverse_-angle and 360-degree drifts through *double hairpin turns*, kzbin.info/www/bejne/rl6XaJmNe7OIf5Yh50m53s and looking like someone pressed the remote's _fast-forward button_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/rl6XaJmNe7OIf5Yh28m26s All that sounds like nonsense for a car ಠ_ಠ and my next thought was "if anyone tried making cars drive like that again in games today, they wouldn't be able to get away with it" ______________________________________________ BUT on the other hand, I share RGA's sentiments, my eyes were really glued to watching RR64's speed! I quite wish we could have games today just as fast as what used to be put out back in the '90s. Jawan Meizu I didn't say anything about wanting the physics changed, I was just taken by utter surprise seeing how fast RR handled, but at the same time it was fun to watch, and it must be thrilling to blast through it firsthand. As for the last point, yes, I'm familiar with it; for example, not having to worry about fuel or tyre wear means more racing time :)

Theres more after this games as well, Ridge Racer Unbounded (I did not personaly like this game and developed by BugBear). There were also a game for PS Vita which was quite lackluster.
