wheel of misfortune is quite simple. More so in cEDH where there is often at least 1 person who doesn't want to wheel and will choose 0. If you want to wheel and know someone else won't, then choose 1. That's it. If you think everyone is going to wheel (most often the case in more casual settings), then you gotta pay about 5 unless you know your playgroup is reckless...

Opposition agent has caused some outbursts from players at my local tournaments, in a competitive event with good store credit prizing, I had a deck thrown at me for going first and turn one land go, then in response to a fetch land dark rit into OA

Love seeing Nooze get there. This game had interesting dynamics. Two stax decks sort of enabling each other while the two good stuff decks run out of gas. I wonder if this exemplifies a play pattern that other folks have experienced.

13:58 hushwing Griff is not hushbringer unfortunately otherwise it would've saved the table from the slicer and Meren stuff in general. Though it's still a great card and undervalued in my opinion.

Doesn't Deathrite Shaman die to Elesh Norn just existing? Shouldn't it had died when EN entered the battlefield?

You are correct. Idk why i didnt see that. When Elesh enters deathrite should habve died and THEN come back with +1/+1 counter AND the anthem from Mikaeus, making it effectively a 1/1. The only thing i did with it after that was block once and attack for lethal, but even without dethrite, that last alpha strike was with 5 creatures to Dylan's 4 blocks. Still a bad oversight, and not my only one this game.

he had the win with walking ballista and mikaus as well, just remove all counters to do damage and ballista will come back with one counter, remove said counter for one, and bam u don't need necrotic ooze at all

Mikaeus gives nonhumans +1/+1, removing the counter wouldn't kill it. It works with triskelion by using the last counter on it to shoot the triskelion, can't do that with only 1 counter except for infinite death triggers

I love that combo! I was playing a lot of necrotic ooze combo back in the day in french banned list, that might have been my favorite combo. And once you resolve it with its actually very hard to response to the win

FYI y'all have the best intro phrase of any mtg content creators. Better than "probably better known as Saffron Olive," better than "howzit," better even than "welcome to a new Legacy wideo." "Where we play to win" just describes the show so well. Edit: Come to think of it, y'all're just the best at intros. Very concise, yet fun.

Not sure if I saw this right, Meren player just didn't trigger Meren twice because Norn was out? Should have just targeted a 1 drop that would've died immediately and racked up the experience counters higher

Alan just kinda ignored that there was an elesh norn on the board, which led to gamechanging misplays. It kinda baffles me how everyone is just fine with it.

Deathrite Shaman is a 1/2 and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed has "Other non-Human creatures you control get +1/+1 and have undying." Deathrite was a 2/3 that became a 0/1 with Elesh Norn out. No problems there :)

so recently i made the absolute opposite of a cedh deck with only 3 spells below 5 cmc and somehow its absolutely busted, when no counter spells are there, with imoti celebrant of bounty always cascading into hypergenesis, eureka or shardless agent (who cascades in hypergenesis/eureka anyways). sadly you cannot make it better because you are not allowed to play any other bellow 5 cmc card to make the deck work but always have turn 4/5 put 30 mana on board.

Because mike give the passive+1/+1 so once you remove the last counter for ballista it’s still a 1/1 so you need a sac outlet to kill it for the undying

Honestly it's not that hard to do both - Having fun and competent knowledge WHILE Winning -, and that's what i like about some people in LatinAmerica community who play card games.... - the knowledge that helps you throught the hobby ... or even life - If this was about martial arts, it's valid and wise to be a Bruce Lee - a legit martial artist, both practical and phylospher, a legit legend -, but instead a lot of people chosse to just bring guns into a punch fight and say they're real pros at fighting - i hope my analogy helped -.... that's just not right and even kinda really sad though

Sadly no. Sakashima enters as a copy of something on the battlefield. It doesn't decide what it's going to copy until it's actually coming into play. This occurs while the spell is resolving and isn't determined when cast or put on the stack.
