Yea I have a niv player at my lgs (name’s josh, he played niv in the black lotus tournament recently) and he also shows niv triggers on the stack in a similar way. Really helpful to keep track of huge stack fights that inevitably happen when a niv is in play lol.

I’ve got a slowly upgrading version of treasure storm, but I don’t have a dockside/raga van so mine still has a gnarly aristocrat engine in it too (tergrid/butcher all those fun things) and it pops off to the point that kinda like Tyler, I’m basically SOL because everyone beats me up first

Absolutely. Even after all my games with it, I still find myself learning new things. Just lost the biggest game of my life because I had to pass the turn with tandem lookout on the field, then had someone cast a brain freeze targeting me with 9 storm. Instead of using Niv combo to kill the brain freeze caster and fizzle the spell, I killed another player I was more scared of and died to brain freeze. So yeah, long story short, experience really pays off :)

There was a missed Korvold draw due to the bloodstane mire sac, that or it was not shown. Probably did not matter but I noticed it. The turn that Tyler was put to 1 life.

We didn’t really get to see Tiamat but I would be curious if Miirym might have more potential. She doesn’t have any deterministic combos but it goes off so quickly and can make a ton of mana with cards like ganax and klauth

I have been a fan since episode one. I love all that you do. My only wish is that you have more competitive CEDH guest on. You’ve had Mons, Rebel, Comedian, etc. But maybe including the bois and grrls that have won CEDH events would add some competitiveness that some of us would love to see. Bless you all. where niv struggles to keep up in a fast game he really makes more than up for in long games. drawing a card every time an instant or sorcery is cast is already bad enough but the pinging is what really puts it over the top as now every 1 and 2 toughness creature just gets invalidated. but that 3u3r cost is a real downsize as most fast mana is colorless so you wont get niv out fast

I feel like chromatic orrery might actually be a card in niv. then you can still play your mana vault/ grim monolith. You do need to have a good amount of tutors though

you would think that especially Niv-mizzet Parun is hard to cast fast, being UUURRR, it wouldn't be good in cEDH, but I guess jewelled lotus helps with that. I guess you need lots of artifact tutors to find it constantly. Value-wise of these 4 dragons, Korvold absolutely wins, he is so nuts, but because Tyler plays Korvold he dies first. so this doesn't prove that the winner of the game is the best dragon commander at all. any one of you would absolutely die first if being the archenemy. so I tried out my budget version of Temur Pirates last night, turn 4 kill, could probably have been a turn earlier if I cast worldly tutor instead of long-term plans (one of the budget replacements I think I made from your list?), but oh well. They even managed to kill my Glinthorn, but I had a Noxious revival in my hand and the second time, they had no answers so.

No. Terror of the Peaks reads "Spells your opponents cast that target Terror of the Peaks cost an additional 3 life to cast." Deflecting Swat wasn't targetting Terror of the Peaks; it was targetting an ability that was targetting Terror of the Peaks. (And the ability itself doesn't cost 3 life either (to its original controller) because it's an ability, not a spell - and triggered abilities don't have costs anyway.)
