They could have made the dynamic contrast more noticeable, added more oomph (such as accents and crescendos), the trumpets could have sounded a bit brighter since they have the melody all the time in this piece, I think it would have been better if they took it at a bit faster of a tempo to make things drive along, and at 2:01 the brass could have backed off so we can hear the flutes. It was pretty good for a middle school band though.
