The truck does look an absolute shed as we say over here, and also a 'ministry magnet', the DVSA here would drag this truck to a weighbridge, the truck would immediately get a prohibition, and the driver & owner would be having a nice day or 2 in court. As soon as I would have spotted the caged brake, I would have refused the tow, and called the police, a dangerously overloaded truck, with faulty brakes is a deathtrap in the making. Trent, show this video in full to the local CHP, they need to be having words with the truck owner

To help get the wheel straight with a dead truck you can move the dead truck back and forth with the under reach so you can move the wheel easier. Just a friendly tip that i learned.

Wonder when that Dump truck had its last DOT / BIT inspection ?? , it's R/rear drive axle the brake is caged !!!

Caging the brake only releases the parking brake, not the service brake.

that must of been a hard tow to do as the guy told you it did not start and than was like not helping vary much on helping you find were to take it to and than you found out at the drop off that it still ran.

A Lemur spot/strobe light to warn traffic of him and his rig.

The lemur light is a CYA thing if you ask me since oncoming driver should have no problem see his truck in broad day light like this. Then again, I once had a lady hit my flat bed trailer with a bright red frame in broad day light pulling out of a parking lot even though i drove right in front of her.

Commercial Vehicles over 10001 pounds needs a commercial class b license. Rv’s privately owned need a non commercial class B In California anyway. Commercial drivers are supposed to read and speak English.

Wrong you do not need cdl under 26,001 over 10k you do need dot medical card

what ever happened to the truck driving industry? it used to be they were all professional truck drivers. now it seems like anyone is allowed to do get a cdl. imagine if this dude got into an accident hauling something dangerous, and had to tell first responders immediately what he was carrying, and he could not tell them bc he does not speak english. not to seem racist but come on..... a trucker should know how to speak english at the very least!

davidgriffin14 seems like landscaping anyways, but under a certain gvwr you dont need a cdl, and i'd say that truck probably does not require a cdl to drive

Just googled it, anything under 26,001lbs gvwr does *not* require air brake endorsement or a CDL. This truck is probably under the 26k mark, hence why he is driving it and cant speak english

California probably offers the test in Spanish. I know Texas does even though it says English is a must. That truck maybe under CDL. It is overloaded.

I think you are assuming that First responders don't speak Spanish. There is no language you HAVE to know to come to the US. While it helps a lot, im sure first responders would be able to translate.
