Yup I turned down two trips to the Kentucky Derby I didnt understand it till at a Fasig Tipton sale a Kentuckian explained the entire thing over mint juleps absolutely more American than Apple pie...

This was the first year I really got into the Derby trail. I liked Proud Appeal and Bold Ego, neither of whom did much. Woodchopper was a decent closer.
