I know it wasn't the point of the video but I like the PG took the time to humanize him a bit. I think there are degrees of magnitude and scammers who engage in pig butchering to drain someone's entire retirement they worked all their lives for is pretty unequivocally bad, but in this example someone scamming an hour's pay from us in a country where that might be what they would make in a week...it's hard to feel that victimized. After falling for that scam we'll still have literally 10,000x his wealth. An honest living would be better, but when the honest opportunities are SO poor and the disparity is THIS extreme, I can't say I blame them or feel all that bad for us.

My guy just humbled the scammer and instead of dishing out some payback for scamming he wanted him to learn a lesson and wanted him to do something kind and selfless, I don't think I've ever seen another channel like his who humbles scammers and convince them to change their ways rather than dishing out justice. You have my fullest respect.

Quite - payback is not necessary. In life, something's gonna mess with them for them messing about. Payback also often makes a person *NOT* want to change their course of action, they'll just maybe get mad and continue doing the same damn thing, so payback's *not helping* when that's the case.

when scammers are protected by blurring their face, its now worthless to call them scammers to begin with
@GL-RTA_SOR4 ай бұрын
Perhaps he does that not to protect _them_ but to protect himself. If you reveal faces without consent, that has the possibility of getting him in trouble with KZbin. Also, it protects him from lawsuits. They can claim the most applicable of libel, slander, and defamation. Even if it's not true that he did wrong and it _is_ true the scammer did wrong, he's out the money for a lawyer to fight it. This is the USA. Anybody can file a lawsuit for anything at any time. I once saw a business law meme of a lawyer stepping out of a dark alley and his speech bubble read "You've been served. This is a frivolous law suit. You can either pay thousands in attorney fees to fight it or we can settle now, out of court." It was in the syllabus for that class and the professor, upon reading it said "this is one of those things we laugh at because it's true". I was unable to finish my degree for reasons not relevant here, but I can say with confidence he's not likely doing the blurring for kicks and giggles; there's a valid reason. Which of those hypothesis is correct, I don't know; but there _is_ a valid reason.

Modern Pentathlon was kind of like that at the Olympics. First, you steal a horse / ride an unfamiliar horse (supplied by another competitor). Next, you fight off your enemies with your sword, and then your pistol (when the sword breaks). Then you swim and run to return to your own camp.

The ending, especially, is so important and moving. The true cartels, criminal networks, are beyond simply scambaiting vloggers, those criminal networks are the ones that by far do the most damage to their victims. So far, our vast system of law enforcement throughout the world is proving utterly incapable of shutting them down.

Why would countries waste money protecting other countries? As long as they aren't scamming their own citizens or threatened with embargoes, it's a net loss for them to arrest or punish them. One of the better solutions would be getting the big companies to actually protect their users. Google, Facebook, all the telecom companies, etc., are in a much better position to stop this crap. It's crazy this is never addressed and we aren't demanding more action from them.

Bullshit. Don't feel sorry for them. Even if their village was given a ton of money it wouldn't help their situation. The problem is their government hasn't used any of the aide relief money provided to them to help their people. The only way to truly help them is dismantle their useless corrupt governments and or go in person to provide supplies. Sadly even if you do that you're likely to be mugged or dupped. They are usually so desperate they will do horrible things to each other and justify it because of their living conditions. People show how evil they can be when they have nothing left to lose.

@@atrmediaofficial Jesus was actually just a prophet & the servant of God Almighty - he isn’t our Creator and should not be worshipped as such. Worship God alone-who is both Christ’s Lord and your Lord. And works are indeed needed for salvation, but not by boasting-rather through faithfully obeying God & upholding His commandments, as He taught through his prophets. But you are quoting the false words of Paul, who was never a disciple and never met Jesus, and invented a religion _ABOUT_ Jesus, rather than following the actual faith & way OF Jesus, which is both faith AND good works. “The MOST important commandment is this,” Jesus answered: “Hear O Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is ONE!” ~ The Gospel of Mark 12:29 “If you wish to enter Life, then KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.” ~ Matthew 19:17 Peace, Your Muslim friend.
