Pleasantly Edible American Linden (Basswood)

American Linden (Tilia americana) also known as Basswood is a plant with pleasantly edible leaves. this plant is in the Malcaceae family with a number of other wild edibles.

I think you forgot to mention or maybe you don't know, that the mucus of Linden berries are medicinal and the more, the better. Used as a tea, an excellent natural expectorant.

After doing some research on the family, I can only say I am more confused. I guess its a subfamily of Malvaceae called Tiliaceae? Not sure
