Each line of the ledger is called a block and consists of hashes, a basic hash is a consolidation of data which is ran through a cipher. Each blockchain block consists of a hash of the transactions done since the last block, a hash of the previous block, the current version, timestamp, a "super" hash of all previous hashes known as the Merkel Root, hash difficulty (algorithmically-determined nonce odds based on the hash rate of the last block), and the Nonce, which is the number all the miners' computers are guessing for. Crypto mining is just a bunch of computers putting all their power into guessing the Nonce. Once that's, done, then it's all hashed (ran through a cipher). With Bitcoin, there's a max supply, so there's, basically, a marble statue in mind and each block has predetermined dimensions to fit the statue. That's how the Nonce and difficulty can be determined. In Ethereum's case, the currency mainly used for NFTs, they can add Smart Contracts to their blocks, which are self-fulfilling programs. Basically they write code that can fulfill "if-this-then-that" contracts. If I pay this amount money then I will get this. NFTs have a link "somewhere," like a server or site, and that "exclusive" link is then hashed and put into these smart contracts, which is on the Blockchain. This is my rough understanding. I believe in blockchain technology, but the culture around NFTs and the state of cryptocurrency is something I'm against.

You know coming off of Muta's video on Gemini Home Entertainment and everything surrounding analogue horror or anything related to Lovecraft to this video made me realise something. The whole concept of NFTs and Crypto and everything that goes with it, I find that much more scarier than anything written by Lovecraft or Stephen King or any horror writer. See, I tend to bring up Lovecraftian horror a lot because I absolute love that universe and the concept of beings much older than us and being so huge and mind-melting that they don't see us as anything, not even as ants. But at the end of the day, they are just stories. They're fake, fiction, complete fabrications of writers who want to tell a story. For all intents and purposes, there is no such thing as Cthulhu or the Old Ones or Dagon or monsters and creatures like that that exist in this universe. If it doesn't exist, you cannot go mad with laughter from it. At least, that's what I thought. *THIS* however, I find more terrifying. Reality is often disappointing but more often, it shows us something so outlandish, so non-Euclidean and so out-there that is does drive one mad. NFTs make my brain hurt. The people being NFTs make me question my sanity and the people who flog them are basically no different from Cthulhu or Dagon or Nyarlathotep. You haven't experienced real madness until you discover some no-name company making vending machines that hand out NFTs in tiny cardboard boxes that gives you a token to "own" colours. Seriously, that is a real thing. Go watch Angry Joe's video on the subject. At the end of the day, what can be done about this? Not much. We are just witnesses to the ongoing madness that is humanity. Where does this end? It doesn't. In fiction, you reach the last page of the book or the last act of a movie or show and the story ends. But here, kiddies, there is no last chapter. The story goes on.

The only good thing about NFTs is that they make it really easy to identify people who's judgement you should never trust, especially about anything finance/investment related. There's this saying, that goes: He who grows his own lentils, will steal your bread too. (It's weird when translated to English lol) That means, those who have money, will still go for your money. They want more. That's how capitalism works, really. Clearly you can see, there are fools who fall for this and they give such people all their hard earned money. We're hoping such incidences or NFT altogether, will go away. But just like all things in life, this will soon become mainstream (i mean scamming via nft). It's a sad thing really. But inevitable.

I was wondering if you would do some research on it and see what the best results could be from that project. I think it would be an interesting vid. I am not a fan of nfts by the way. As someone who does view only select content creators from the rp community, i only see it (the nft project) being one of two things. One being a cash grab. Or a long term project involving space in the Blockchain that is largely dependent on the future of Blockchain tech/advancement. For the latter, I just don't see how nfts would help the community or give them something to call their own for that matter. I also am not too educated on the nft thing. Always seemed like a cash grab through crappy art in a jpeg file. Nice to see someone else would be interested in this too if muda covered it👍
