They kind of just used it as a throwaway, but it's so good. Sounded like Jerry Seinfeld saying "I don't wanna be a pirate!" The absurdity of the line by itself is so amazing, most people would never have the opportunity to be a pirate or attorney/eternal general, but it's being forced on them by fate.

It’s certainly real and for the sketch, the lines he said could not apply to a real election, the dialogue and acting all look real, and he’s under NBC so it wouldn’t be hard to get him to actually film the bits.

This felt like a response/contrast to the rest of the episode, which makes it more interesting. Glad to see more of PDD with the cast and a good use of Molly's energy. Nice to have the teaming of all the people hired in season 47 as well (PDD, Sarah, JAJ).

Just heard the announcement of Molly’s exit from SNL yesterday and I’m really sad to see them go. They were such a funny addition to the cast and they were such an absolute blast in every single sketch they appeared in. (1848 was the year William Makepeace Thackeray's novel "Vanity Fair" was published. After seeing Update end without Molly appearing, I got worried that they're not getting enough screen time, and then lo and behold this brilliant video ends the night. Everyone was terrific, but the pacing and editing of this really shined. Still wanna see Molly slay it on Update soon though!
