“The barbed wire was really unnecessary” made me fucking actually lol. Dudes did a 40 ft bump through tables and lights and oh yea it was all on fire and this guy goes says dead serious “I think the barbed wire was unnecessary”
@higler.
@higler. 2 жыл бұрын
It was, because you couldn't even tell the barbwire was there, and it was completely overshadowed by the 40ft fall like you mentioned. It was pointless sprinkles on an already frosted cake. And, the barbwire is the reason he almost lost his thumb.

Plus most small wrestling companies back then didn't care. So long as you said you were 16/18 or whatever was enough for them, even if you obviously weren't. Friend of mine here on the UK indy scene has been wrestling since he was 14. He lied about his age and they didn't seem to care.

After watching this, I'm so glad he's signed with AEW now. While I'm sure he'll keep having some dangerous matches and doing crazy shit, they'll also have him in a lot more normal, safe matches, especially on weekly TV on TNT network, where he can't do death matches or anything like that. I definitely want to see him transition to a style where we don't have to ask him not to die every match.

I have the time to shoot wrestling but unfortunately never time edit while trying to take care of my 2 sons. It's nice to know that the footage is being used for what it is intended for, spreading the word about indy wrestling and more importantly getting these indy wrestlers the recognition they deserve. Shit look at Joey now, he just headlined AEW PPV against Jon Moxley and had from what I was told the best match of the night! Hoping to watch it sometime this week. @@ramseydoon8277 Point is, some people make the sacrifices they do in the ring not because they necessarily have to and or forced to, but either and or both because they love it, and because they wasnt to inspire the next generation of wrestlers. Jeff Hardy inspired someone like Darby Allin to take risks, and think about the consequences later. Sometimes for people, that's the only way to feel truly alive. And while most of us are sick of Jon Moxley bleeding in his matches, he bleeds cause he FEELS alive when blood starts pouring out of his head, Bryan Danielson during a Q&A also said the same, so it's just something not everyone will understand unless they step into a ring infront of an audience.

The match and story is easy to write, 3 matches, with each one of them doing an insane stunt in each match to win and then ultimately rubber match with them both doing a massive 'spot' together with Janela going over in the end.

Jim Cornette needs to realize that professional wrestling isn’t just about big brutes going into the ring and colliding with one another. Professional Wrestling is left up to interpretation. If you like watching big brutes run into one another than that’s cool, more power to you but not everyone enjoys that style. Some enjoy comedy wrestling, hardcore wrestling, technical wrestling etc. This is why professional wrestling is one of the most underrated things in the world. If everyone gave it a chance, I bet they would find a certain type that they like

Yeah not everyone enjoys a game of cards, some people enjoy Russian roulette with a loaded pistol 😂 the only way to top his roof dive spot is just to have live snuff films, and that kind of wrestling gives pro wrestling a bad name

S.R Woodward well, are you having fun when you watch wrestling? Because not everyone has the same tastes, and “that type of wrestling” can be fun to them. No matter how much you try to bury it, you can’t stop the art of deathmatch, comedy or highspot wrestling.

@@MrJadePinwheel Well, you can always criticize individual spots, and maybe that one did go to far. But that's no reason to dismiss a whole style of wrestling.

Saw Joey compete back in National Wrestling Superstars. Mid 2000's. Glad to see he's still working. Just hope he can wise up and not kill himself in these indie promotions. I'd love to see him in WWE.

So even though he claims to be a CZW fan he took the same bump that made Nick Mondo retire, though that also makes Zandig 0-2 on pulling that bump safely
