People need to realise that wrestling is big in Britain, you don't need to like it but respect the people actually harming themselves for the people that do. Its not all do it for the kids with promotions like ICW, its trying to give something other than the shite on the tv today. Which is much better than it was before but ICW still offers something more than the big boys and to come from nothing in a country with 300 million less people than the USA then you have to praise it.
@s.l.msedits72907 жыл бұрын
ICW is big because it is a night out on sunday night in Glasgow and people just do not want to go to that same old pub

You know what, I always thought wrestling was stupid, but now when I look at this documentary its almost endearing. A group of people getting together, willfully suspending disbelief so that they can enjoy a "show", a type of "show" that can only happen if everyone sits there sub-conciously and goes "you know what, i know this is fake, but I want to join in the story that everyone else here is telling. I want to also tell the story so I can enjoy the story". It's like a play but with more interaction
@HeyitsJacobLOL5 жыл бұрын
That's the mindset you have to have when watching it. Trust me as a guy who has wrestled it is hard. Plus there's is no off season. Their doing it for loads of days. Many reasons why some people get injured. I love wrestling for the atmosphere and storytelling. I always respect wrestlers. They are putting their bodies at risk, JUST FOR ENTERTAINMENT As a guy who has passion for wrestling. It insults me that people think it's fake. It's just a story. People like me have worked with making our characters and working really hard to make it.

You’re right. And I wouldn’t say fake. Those bumps and falls still hurt to an extent and the injuries are very real. It’s more scripted. But it’s entertainment. Movies are scripted too but we don’t call it fake. We call it entertaining.

dodgy Dogz Its fake in the same way cirque du soleil is fake. Pro Wrestling isnt a sport, but you cant say these guys aren't athletes. Wrestlers are thrown around like rag dolls multiple times a week for people entertainment. You dont have to like wrestling, but you should be able to respect the athletic feats these performers are able to accomplish. And if you really think wrestling is that easy, go do it. It looks like great money for a part time gig.
@timthompson23589 жыл бұрын
ivosnivo Comparing ProWrestling and Combat sports is apples and oranges. The argument that pro-wrestling is tougher is because of how often pro-wrestlers are expected to work. Compare Floyd Maywether and John Cena. In 2014 Maywether had 2 matches, while Cena preformed some where around 200 times. Of course wrestling is easier on the body then fighting, but the schedule has got to be demanding on the body in a way I cant even imagine. Getting thrown off the top rope on to your back on monday and having to get up tuesday and do it again seems just insane. And thats a kind of insanity you just gotta stand back and respect.
