Please Don't Go (Jack/Juliet - LOST)

I'm a Jater, but "Jacket" (Jack and Juliet) always struck me--what they had was so beautiful and real, if short-lived. The kiss and hug toward the end of the vid was, to me, their goodbye moment, even though it technically wasn't. They both knew that he couldn't shake his feelings for Kate and that it was ending. But that just makes it all the more powerful. Jack and Juliet are Lost's biggest "What if" couple. The reason why Juliet was the most important woman in Jack's life was because he trusted her completely. Her words to him "You can trust me Jack. I'm not gonna hurt you" proved to him that she's not Sarah or Kate. He knew she's better than them. Despite his resistance towards her, he couldn't help but feel drawn to her. The way she was affecting him was so intense that it actually scared him not just because she was an Other but because he saw no sign of humanity in her at first. After helping Sawyer and Kate escape, he realized that Juliet is the only one he can truly trust. I love how he really worked to earn her trust after she killed Pickett. The reason why he defended her so passionately to the survivors was because nobody knew her like he did. His emotional dependence on her was extremely intense if not co-dependent. Jack was the one who reawakened Juliet's humanity again. If things would've been different, they would've totally worked together in a long run: getting married and having a family. That was shown in Flash-Sideways. Sawyer and Kate were only temporary physical thing. I think that Jack was emotionally torn between Juliet and Kate. After they kissed and Jack said about Ben "He knows where to find me" that's where he admitted that he wants to be with her. But it was Juliet's decision alone to break it off because Jack was in a total stalemate that he refused to choose between her and Kate. Contrast to Sawyer and Kate, Jack and Juliet decided to do the right thing by not crossing the line between them. During Jack's appendicitis surgery scene, you could see it was really painful decision for him and Juliet to bury what could've been between them. Even though he never could shake his feelings for Kate, he couldn't shake his feelings for Juliet either. The biggest missed opportunity.

Awww thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! I agree, I'm actually a Jater but I will always partially ship Jacket! They had so much in common and I LOVED that they were married (if only briefly) and had a son together in the sideways!

So what? As if it ever bothered anyone. And personally, I like their relationship as it was shown in the canon - not crossed the line, not rolled into a drama. It's perfect.
