My husband retired from the US Navy after 24 1/2 yes. Needless to say my son and I were on our own a lot. So when things would seem to go wrong and my son would start to get anxious I would just tell him that God is sending us on an adventure, and he was going to help us get through it. It taught him not only to have faith, but trust it was going to be ok because God was watching over us. Even now at 28 yes old he will call and say, " Mom, you aren't going to believe the adventure I had today!"

You are absolutely right about mindset, positive thinking, actions. I did what was called "self evaluation"... Spent allot of time reflecting on past situations/relationships: What lesson(s) I learned... AND finally, forgive myself and others for their actions. It was a long process, but worth it. Great video today, Kevin. Old saying, don't know if its biblical, Cast your bread upon the water and it will come back to you tenfold. I always try to be nice, helpful to others, as I would hope good comes back to me, and it has. Someone paid for groceries a while back when I was short, before my paycheck came in. What as wonderful blessing. When I meet someone without a smile I share mine with them, a kind word and help however I can. It makes me feel good to bring positive help and joy to others. Thank you for reminding us to stop and breath before we act. Taking on negative energy is real and when in public can happen so quickly to an empath. Before I ever heard the word empath I hated going into a store. I would turn into someone I did not know. I could be so sad, angry, confused, drunk or on drugs. So many times a stranger would just start telling me their problems which I took on as a burden because I could not help them or know what to say. Rare I ever left town the happy person I normally am. Thought I was a true nut. Never ask anyone for help as I never heard anyone talk about having the problem. I learned to love my own company. I searched mental health websites as I had to know why I was such an odd duck. Not finding an answer for years. Then one day I woke with the word empath stuck in my head on repeat till I googled it. Found out I am not alone but many are silent. The best tool I found is to know how I feel and why before I leave home or let company in my door. Not my circus, not my monkeys I silently repeat to myself so I can allows others to keep their own energy while I listen. So if a mortal human can read or take on anothers energy so easy that many have no clue they are doing it. Knowing energy is all around us. If what one thinks or says is what gets rewarded so hard to believe? Don't want back what your giving... Mind reading and knowing the contents of ones heart is asking a bit much without some form of statement or prayer. This is just my humble two cents worth. Blessings to all. More of your humble two cents worth would be nice.

Kevin I am a recent subscriber, and now I’m enjoying the last 5 years of Dearly, Daniel and your labor! It’s beautiful and scant wait to see it’s fruition in another 2 years. It reminds me of my beautiful mountain home there in Virginia! Thanks for bring back happy memories. We had a apple and peach orchard, wonderful sleight rides down the mountain. Swimming during the summer, growing tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, onions, okra, corn, kale, lettuce, squash, green beans, pole beans, our chickens, turkey, pigs, and hogs. We did a lot of canning during the summer, and chopped down a Christmas tree!! Thanks for the memories!! God Bless!!

Great message. It has taken me 50+ years to learn how to do that. It helped me when I was going through a divorce and to keep from just going crazy, I took one day at a time and try to look at only the positive. Sometimes that means you have to avoid the negative people to get through the tough times but it got me through the worst time of my life. I prayed a lot and just talk to God and everything was okay. God kept me strong.

Sometimes it really hard for me to think positive with all that has happened in my life the past year but I ran into more that I realized was fear when my husband passed away 5 years ago. And when my daughter passed last year. I pray about it everyday and I’m trying hard. I also have anxiety disorder. Which I get thru it all. God willing. My grandson keeps me on track lol. You are very blessed and I know I'm very blessed too. I was hurt really bad years ago but even though I live in severe pain I'm so blessed I have great doctors and a very supportive husband and our bills are paid. My children and grandchildren are all healthy and have good jobs so I don't have to worry about them. God has been so good to and brought me though so much to get where I am today. Thank you God for everything you do for us and for the people you have led us to. You my friend and Dearly are one of those good things my life among many.

Such a great message today Kevin. I also have ptsd and an anxiety disorder. My PTSD wasn't military but result of being raped at 19 yrs old. Plus also being abused as a kid from mother. I'm 66 yrs old now and I still fall into depression now and then. When I give into the depression, I try to talk myself out of it. It's important we have introspection. That's what helps me the most. My life isn't perfect but I'm better off than some are. And yes I was watching a couple of different areas in your woods cause something was moving around back there.
