So here I Was getting ready to do something productive and then this pops up. What a glorious mess of a game. Would watch again if asked nicely :D. However! SPOILERS: SPOILERS: SPOILERS: It was fun to watch the end was very scrapy and unique.. but I have to say... so many mistakes, felt weird to see such a high elo game with so many bad decisions. Just shows humans will.. well always be just humans no matter how good they are when crizis strikes even the best will do really bad plays and there was plenty on both sides. So lets go trough the motions shall we? 1) Harstem gets a strong start, gets to 4 bases and techs up to immortals and archons, defending well and keeping enemy army count low. 2) Zerg stays on low tech and masses units going for some kind of low tech timing attack while strongly expanding behind it. 3) Harstem loses his mind reads the situation wrongly moves out and overcomits, has a horrible engagement on creep and ends up like what 50? 60? 70? supply behind Game is basically over at this point. Zerg can just expand once or twice, solidify its creep, defend well, tech up to hive and just build the best counter to what protoss has or just good enough counter and just brute force with numbers and GG there is really no coming back from this. you know when ahead just stay ahead. Instead... Now its the zergs turn to lose its mind. 4) zerg keps pushing the issue and keeps bashing its head into last remnants of protoss units standing between buildings, just barely does not manage to break. Also so many banelings given away for free trying the same route over and over again after it was well established that Harstem is aware of it. Oh end some really insane storms land. That is why you tech up people.. you cant fight a protoss with storm available with just zerglings, banelings and ravagers. 5) Now harstem has somewhat of a fighting force again but its still 3 bases against 5 or so so things are not looking good but there might be a chance because zerg threw away its army and there might be opportunities now. 6) Harstem moves out and does even better than expected because Zerg decided to spawn ultralisks into immortals and rolling bunch of banelings into archons. the zerg advantage is shrinking rapidly 7) The Zerg "strategy" worked because after killing Ultralisks Harstem gets overconfident, does not regroup his army but instead moves his archon / immortal heavy force into bunch of zerglings and loses it all. Meanwhile the rest of the army is derping around the 5th hatchery. So things reset. Again. 8) However in this whole mess Zerg did not protect its workers properly and zealots end up killing most of the zergs economy.. so now Zerg has more army, map control, more bases but its 20 workers behind. 9) Harstem defends mostly thnx to a Warp Prism, 2 archons and shield batteries. This micro looks very cool but its not a miracle just a tech advantage and zerg can only pray for some ravager biles while Harstem is not looking. harstem is looking though so these are some insanely favorable trades for Harstem. 10) Harstem has no idea how many workers zerg has, keeps telling himself that Zerg economy must be gone but still does some really risky stuff, dives deep with the warp prism and aggressively tries to trade against queens, roaches and ravagers. Almost loses the prism to queens which could have been a disaster because he might tap out even though the game is over, zerg has no economy. Harstem suspects it but does not believe himself enough. 11) Micro continues like crazy but in reality with every passing second the game is more and more over, the economy advantage is pulling ahead, zealots are being warped in and being traded super poorly all over the place but it does not matter, zerg has so few workers it would take a miracle to do anything at this point. 12) Harstem wins, celebrates and then watches the replay and realizes how crazy this game was but also how one sided it was at the end even though it felt super tense. This game was really fun to watch from the Harstem perspective but it is insane when you go and analyze it in hindsight how many things could have been better on both sides. Starcraft 2 really is a game which will always stay pure chaos because the human ability just cannot keep the pace with all the stuff that are going on at the same time. It was actually not that amazing of a game quality of a decision wise but it was a pure glorious miracle at how scrapy and adrenaline packed the ending was since no one knew what the real situation is and that made it very exciting. This build opener is actually very similar to something I’ve been playing recently, except I cut much more gas and go for charge. I basically pull out of gas quicker and only mine 200 gas for a twilight and charge after the oriole, and go up to 7 gates asap. Once charge finishes I roam on the map with the charge lot 7 gate force and look for openings. It’s rare that it does critical damage but it forces out either roaches or banelings and a serious drone cut. A 4th base can sometimes be cancelled or killed but it doesn’t have to be. The follow up can be varied but I usually drop 2 more gasses and take a 4th while putting probes back on gas once charge completes and I move out. The strong thing about this build is the speed at which the 4th base is taken, and against any player foolish enough to stay on longs, this can be extremely punishing. However you only really get the one oriole to scout with so it’s very important to keep it alive. The point of this build is not really to kill the Zerg, although it definitely can below 5k. You just clear creep and force the Zerg back. Often Zerg. Will all in you with roaches if they scout the 4th timing and decide this greed cannot be allowed. This is a mistake for them as long as you stop probing and put up a strong battery gateway defence. You will need to return to mining on gas immediately if you suspect this, and mix in vanilla stalkers with your chargelots. You can squeeze in more gates too but there generally isn’t time to tech. Anyhow I’m curious if you think this idea isn’t viable for some reason. I have had success with it but I don’t play much anymore (full time job) and I’m only around 5k

You can go to your hotkey setup in the control group section. There you can specify hotkeys to add to new group and remove from old. Just scroll through and you should easily find it. I personally press J to dump selected units into control group 8. Since I dont use 8 very much it works really well to split units from my army.
