Every time I hear this song, I think about my high school graduation in 1972. All of the graduating seniors stood up and sang this song! RIP, David, Crosby, and thank you.

Thank you for this song. It's a great familiar song. My heart is sad tonight, and I can't sleep. My sister died suddenly today on her sixty-sixth birthday. I'm just trying to process it. I know she is with Jesus now. We will have to wait for our reunion at Jesus' feet. Thank you brother for sharing your love with me.😐❤❤❤

So sorry for your loss.Mothers are so selfless, and love their children more than themselves. When I was a teenager I took my mom for granted. When I became a mom myself,I realized what an angel she is,and I treasure her unconditional love❣Thank God for every good memory of her,and even though she is passed, tell her what she means to you.I believe our loved ones can still hear us.💞

Thanks for playing this song Jamal. CSN&Y converted my mom to hippie music. It took my dad a lot longer. She bought me their fist album and absolutely loved this song. I always think of her when I hear it (often with a nostalgic tear or two). Your reaction is spot on and captures one of the basic tenants of the hippie movement. Funny you dig the Dead so much. I saw them 26 times from 69 - 73 including our man Jerry play pedal steel for the New Riders of the Purple Sage in Boston. We went in at sunset and came out at sunrise. What a trip.

One of the greatest albums ever made. This song goes straight into 'Almost cut my hair', which is a whole 'nother vibe and definitely worth a listen.

I sang this song in an a capella group in college. One of the funnest, most surprisingly touching songs I’ve ever sung. Something about the harmonies with the lyrics together just hit the sweet spot. I think I like it more without instruments. The vocal harmonies are plenty!

First hearing this when it came out as an 18 yo and now as a grandparent, this is a most prophetic song. Such special meaning. I still love hearing it and seeing your enjoyment and understanding is just so special.
