BeamNG Drive is one of the most wholesome games out there. I remember finding it quite a while ago, almost right when it was released. I promptly forgot about it (life came at me for a couple months), and after that, I forgot the name of the game entirely. I couldn't find it in my history, even after scrolling down two months' worth of videos. Admittedly, it wasn't much, as I said, life came at me for a couple months, and I didn't have much time. To this day, though, I'm not sure why it's not in my history. I even recently searched it with KZbin's new search feature, but that didn't work. Anyway, I was reintroduced to the game when I watched CaptainSparklez playing the game, and I've been into the game ever since. I can't ever run it, as my computer has average specs... ...for 2005's standards. In fact, I can barely run any games at all. Either way, it was nice to at least rediscover it, and be able to watch gameplay of it. General gravity changes, Jupiter, the Sun etc were the go-to fun modes. It really is a very detailed game. It's one of, if not _the_ most realistic automobile simulators I know of, and very fun, I must say. If only I could play it, though. Ah, I have to wait about another decade before I have the ability to buy better equipment for myself. Perhaps this is a bit dramatic, but I feel like I do need to mention this. In the meantime, please continue what you do. I'll be right here with you. :-)

@@VenerhiaStellarvore I believe KZbin, at the time, could not show me certain videos with the search feature, as most of my history is still there. I've recently found out that KZbin has a settings for this-one that configures how long you allow KZbin to keep your watch history, before it is automatically deleted. You may choose to not delete it at all, if you so choose.

You forgot the footbrake of some cars like the Bruckell LeGran and the functional column shifters/floor shifters of almost all of the automatic versions of the og BeamNG cars (apart from the Cherrier FCV cars)! Now we only need the auto shifter of the FCV and all the manual shifters as well to be fully functional! And I think I found a way to make the auto shifter of the FCVs functional: make it work like the modern BMW shifters, with one tap for each position and with lights showing each position (P R N D S + -)! And we also need fuel filler caps and flaps (along with the blue AdBlue caps for the diesel-powered cars)! BeamNG devs, are you reading this?? :-D

In regards to the Formula 1 Car. I've found that also due to the down force capability it possesses. If you were to drive that in the moon map (the one with the tunnel ramp with earth gravity that shifts to moon gravity when you exit it), it'll typically flip upside down shortly after launch but if you are lucky or get it right, the F1 Car will glide across the air for a little while before it crash lands and i do mean air since the game doesn't simulate moon atmosphere just earth atmosphere
@DDS029
@DDS029 2 жыл бұрын
But if we are speaking of realism here, the car wouldn't be able to drive upside down in this instance as the to fact of at the top of the tube was screening. Without a solid surface, you would lose all of the low air pressure that allows for the downforce (upforce?).

Two others that I can think of... The clocks in some of the cars actually display and update in real time. For those cars with electric cooling fans, the game actually makes a quiet whirring noise when the cooling system is hot. (You can hear this most clearly with the engine off.) And while it's a discovery that many have made, I think I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that the in game piano (quite a phrase, that) actually plays a tune if you open the lid.

It's just the little things I appreciate. 1. Stop on a hill. Put the handbrake on. Shift to park. Zoom in on the wheels, and release the hand brake. The car rolls a few inches as the slack is taken up by the drive train. 2. US cars have red rear turn signals, and euro ones have amber. 3. If you're going fast down hill in a manual, you can blow and sieze the engine > If you're in a low gear, it often results in the wheels locking. If you're in a high gear, the force being geared down is strong enough to overcome the friction of the clutch, and you burn the clutch instead. 4. Taking the above into consideration... If a drive wheel loses contact with the floor, the differental causes the wheel with no contact to spin in reverse, and no stopping force is applies to the car. 5. In a RWD vehicle go fast, and shift to park - nothing happens because the safety mechanism stops park engaging at a high speed. But momentarily apply the hand brake to lock the rear wheels. The park mechanism is able to engage - Now the one wheel with the most grip rotates normally, but the other rotates in reverse, causing a single sided skid mark. 6. When driving an auto, there is a realistic creep when you release the brake. 7. Drive a manual. Select gear one, and stall the engine. Now leaving the car in gear 1, press V to restart the engine. The engine takes longer to restart, as the starter motor must move the entire vehicle before the engine can reach starting speed. 8. Brake fade. I could just go on and on. The physics are amazing. It reminds me of driving in GTA IV.

Another cool feature of the game too that i recently learned is that it will even simulate sport brake squeek! The sunburst for example when using the hillclimb variant has performance brakes that squeek when you bress the brakes at low speeds. You cant hear it when its hard braking (thats what these brakes are meant for). I recently picked up a sports car with a vented sport brake setup and it too does the same brake squeek at low speeds that it took me 3 trips to the auto shop to see what waa going on and they said thats the nature of those brakes! Who would have guessed!

Actually broken driveshaft is the most annoying detail of the game haha still appreciate it I love the detail when the head gasket fails, or the piston rings and that makes the "Blue" smoke come out of your exhaust 🥰 Or the engine overheat Or engine starving with oil when car upside down
