by giving it a more round shape, and a somewhat shorter radius, it would be a lot more effective for the "speed bump" aspect, that is, if the goal were to slow down drivers safely, but if your going for a few broken ribs or a concussion or 2, then this is perfect.

@alexaristale3 жыл бұрын
Ah surface tension. funny thing is, going fast enough, this would happen. Hydroplaning works upwards too. not a bad idea honestly.
@jeremiah._.hamman92553 жыл бұрын
A hydroplane speedbump is an interesting idea, it would have to be at least a centimeter recessed section of water tight road filled with liquid. During the winter it becomes ice which should encourage slow driving, in the warmer climates you could turn it off to prevent excessive use of water due to the heat. In warmer climates I could see this actually being viable as it would be off most of the year so the water usage wouldn’t actually be as bad. But when it is on it works damn well. The concept of a controlled and forced hydroplane is interesting.
@alexaristale3 жыл бұрын
@@jeremiah._.hamman9255 only issue is if you drive TOO slow, you might waterlog the engine, or at the very least fry the electrical system (ever wonder why almost no one tries to fix a flood salvage car?
