Pleasurewood Hills has always had so much potential, it just needs some proper investment. The little changes like the food options and theming already implemented by the looping group are really encouraging. Fingers crossed for 2023!

I hope so, haven't been back for 20+ years but it doesn't look much different, looks worse actually. Went here in the very first season, 1982, and the only rides were the miniature railway, Cine 360, a kids play area and a market

I remember coming back in the 80s the eggspress used to be the rattlesnake, also I remember the vintage cars, the chair lifts and little train used to tour round a dinosaur park. The cannon ball express was the second roller coaster they purchased. The also used to have 2 pirate ships, one of them used to go all the way upside down which I almost fell out of, they didn't have the over the shoulder pads to stop you falling out. It was just a pad pressed against the chest. Anyway great childhood memories.

Good to see the food offering improving at Pleasurewood as we found it very limited last year when we went. I think the park could do with a new coaster and a decent flat ride like a Giro swing or magic carpet.

It brought a tear to my eye when you swung the camera around to reveal the old missile from the American ADVENTURE. I Can remember my first ride all the way back in 1994 school trip, all my friends from school was to small or scared, I was Tall and fearless and went on all on my lonesome and after that ride i was 4ft smaller but i was seen by my friends and all the girls as a HERO.....I will make it a bucket list that i must ride this beast again THANK YOU Shawn & Charlotte For showing me where it now calls home The Pleasurewood Hills....I AM A BIG FAN OF THE CHANNEL AND ALL THE ADVENTURES YOU BRING US ALL ON KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK....Good memories LONG LIVE WIPE OUT....AKA MISSILE....🚀🚀🚀

Great little park, Wipeout has a special place in my heart as it was my first looping coaster when it ran at the Glasgow Garden Festival 1988 as the Coca Cola Rollercoaster. Got a chance to ride it again when we visited Pleasurewood a few years back.

Shawn, an interesting fact for you... one of the original models of the Vekoma Boomerang was showcased in Brisbane for "World Expo 88" called Titan, along with one of the first suspended coasters, a Vekoma called Centrifuge and another Vekoma alien-themed sit-down coaster called Supernova. Apart from the travelling wild-mouse we used to have at our annual "show", these were the first real coasters I ever rode as a 14 year old. A year or so after Expo 88 finished, unfortunately the mini-theme park, which also had some of the latest flat-rides, closed and demolished. Luckily though, Titan was purchased and moved to a park in India, and the other two were purchased and moved to a park in Thailand, so still exist today. Which brings me to why I've always loved your vlogs from Pleasurewood Hills, because of Wipeout. It brings back memories of Titan for me. And I love this park and think it has so much potential, like you say as well, and hope they will progress into the future. But yeah, Expo 88 was in one way I guess a testing-ground for Vekoma in 1988, and produced 3 excellent prototype rides. This maybe was in the days before IAPPA (?) I'm guessing, where new things were introduced to the world at the world expositions every couple of years. Which also brings me back to memories of our annual travelling "show" here in Australia. For so many of us who couldn't afford to travel to the big attractions in the capital cities, we are lucky that once a year, the "show" rolls into town with all of the travelling/portable rides. Every 2 or 3 years we were amazed when there was a new ride on the tour, such as the Gravitron or Enterprise. Anyway, just wanted to share some of my fondest memories with you. I've been following your channel from the start, and love you and Charlotte so much.

Good morning Charlotte and Shawn hope your both doing well and if your out and about today it will be a cool one and that slide that you went on you have been one before that you come off into the water which video is that as I can't find it as that's the first video of theme park world wide I watched and I was really down with mental health and when I seen that whole video was playing on KZbin I immediately got in volved in the ambiance of the video that you impeccable presenting style and banter between not just KZbinrs doing a video but real people having a great time in a theme park that's why your not just a informational channel your also a entertaining channel so thank you all so much including Mr and Mrs sambrook for there involvement and all your collection of memorabilia it's amazing it should be in a museum of its own where you charge admission to fans and public to see because you are a brilliant pair of presenters that deserves a TV channel all about theme parks and travel and wildlife and the star attraction theme parks

Last time I went to Pleasurewood hills Wave Breaker was the new ride for the season! I can remember a fantasy dark ride being over where the main street area is now and a boat ride (Think it was called Tales from the coast or Aladin's tales or something like that) which I used to love! Best ride for me was Connonball Express though! I can still remember that heavy breaking at the end of the ride XD I'd love to see them tidy the park up and maybe put something over where the go karts used to be! So much extra room round that park!!

I hope the looping group don’t reject this park. At the moment, they are taking away more rides then they are adding while pleasure beach makes constant great investments. I get covid and everything, but looking at Draytons new investments, I know looping group can do it. I wish better for my home park!

The hill is desperately need a 2ns train on cannonball, it's not like loopings can't afford it. They also tell me they're still adding theming to the log flume each year. The ladybird/egg coaster has never been the sane since they removed the 2nd tunnel. So say they've abandoned the lake.. such a missed opportunity, that pirate ship sounds frightening with that banging. Love this park but it's crying out for couple of new flats to the line up.

I was here last year and was on wipeout when it got stuck at the top of the first lift hill for 30 mins. It was very exciting and afterwards we all got a free drink (I had a sugar free slushy and Susan Carter-Jenkins had a coffee)

I remember visiting Pleasurewood Hills American Theme Park soon after they opened with school, now I am feeling very old... The circus looked fantastic, very different and Charlotte chose well with her food, we didn't enjoy the food where you got yours from on our last visit. I do hope Looping invest in the park, I would love to see an improvement to Rootin Tootin, not a very exciting shootout dark ride for me, never got to visit Hobs Pit. Absolutely love Jolly Roger

Highlight: "Brace. Oh., oh that was ok, it was more those co- arrrrrgh" 😂. Also, LOVED "The Missile". The coaster had so much force. Back in the days of re-rides at American Adventure, a friend rode it about 10 times in a row and made himself ill 😂 Admittedly, he'd had a couple of beers as well. Not something I would remotely recommend, especially on a family theme park channel! Nostalgia indeed. I have yet to ride this as Wipeout, but Vekoma Boomerangs are one of my favourite coasters just for the force in the cobra roll. Just PINS you in. :)

Visited a couple of weeks ago, it is my local theme park and it makes for a fun day out. It's great to see improvements with the food and the farmyard theme (it's a start at least). I always leave thinking there's so much potential and I hope they have good season this year and can continue toward that potential. Always makes me laugh that there's never a cue for the Jolly Roger drop tower; it really is quite an intense ride and it would be great if they added some theming and dropped you into the mouth of Moby Dick etc. The Cannonball Express either they replace it with something new or re-theme it as Shawn said because as it is it looks run down, rough and the one train makes the cue longer than it needs to be. The Wipeout just about makes it worth the visit however if it was out of action you'd be disappointed they need another adult coaster or even for now a pendulum and I wonder if they could purchase the Eagles Claw from Lightwater Valley? The castle looks terrible and rundown maybe re-theme it or knock it down and put a coaster there instead the Park has room and with more investment and a few good seasons I'd love to see it go up a level. Its such a shame that my local park isn't as great as it once used to be, its crying out for the empty spaces to be filled with rides, there is just so much potential. They could theme the area around the Jolly Roger to pirates quite easily, and also theme the area around cannonball express to accompany it. The pirate ship is already there too. It wouldn't take much. They also need to use the area where Fort Fun used to be and theme that area of the park to Wild West. I'd even move Mable Madness to that area too. I'd love to have a few million in my pocket, i'd soon get that place good again. Good to see that you guys come to these parts after travelling around the world to more exotic locations.

Despite this park just six miles down the road from me, it’s been a good few years since I last visited. The park as you say definitely needs a major new ride and something like a major flat ride. Love the idea of turning the Cannonball into a dark ride. Love seeing Charlotte getting soaked on the water rides. Great train rides there at Pleasurewood. Nice vlog Shawn and Charlotte 👌😉

all you do is sit there and hold on, it's over so quickly.. and afterwards you'll be rushing to get back on. I was like that back in the early 90s when they had the Enterprise.. my grandmother dragged me on kicking and screaming.. and i just couldn't wait to get back on.. lol

I only been here once and that was back in 1998 when it was over run by Mr blobby. Think the looping group really should offer a annual pass for all 3 uk theme parks or at least a 50% discount off tickets to annual holders to the other 2 parks (depending on which pass you own)
