That fishroom is great, natural designs, lots of plants, well taken care of fish, old filters which means bacteria is established. I liked the blue fish and the tiger pleco. Interesting to see different hobbyists leanings towards certain fish or setup design.

This was a fun tour. I'm more of a fish keeper than a breeder, but I appreciate those who have a passion for it.

Enjoyed the tour as if I was there, thanks! Love that her crinum has flowered - I have huge ones in my front yard that flower beautifully and I hope someday that the crinum in my tank (not as large as Alyssa's yet) will someday grace me with flowers. And those blushing pink endlers are beautiful - they must be stunning in person!!

Love her fish basement. I need a follow up video with her sharing a bit more tips and tricks on breeding plecos. She has gorgeous fish. I was drooling over the endler line with the gorgeous rainbow of colors. I am envious of her pygmy sunfish and the wild bettas whose name I cannot spell,. I have yet to find any to acquire. Alyssa is a wealth of knowledge.

I'm not sure if it was intentional or just happenstance. The video looks very cool in HDR and OLED (my phone). I'll check it out on the big screen here shortly.... Gotta up that view time!!!! Very cool to share your setup with us! Nice work.

May i express all my appreciation for this great woman that uses latin names for her animals? Common names are common only in your language and not always understandable by non native speakers
@mangala666 Жыл бұрын
Common names are confusing even for native English speakers! It’s why I will use the scientific name if it exists, or an L number or whatever more universal method I can find! Thank you. ❤
@blucenere Жыл бұрын
@@mangala666 you are welcome :) In my country too, it may happen that the common names differs for different groups of people or shops. And it is very frustrating. Now I am living in a different country with a different language and talking about fish in 3 languages gets even more complicate... So again, you have all my appreciation and respect, even more because I know how difficult it can be for English speakers to pronounce Latin names. So chapeau :) And I wish all the best to you and your fishroom :)

I’ve been reading and trying to figure out some bristlenose pleco genetics. I’m wondering if the albino green dragons are one of the “strains” of albino plecos that are causing so much confusion about how albinos bred to albinos gets your brown? Obviously there is likely albinism on 2 different alleles but it doesn’t completely answer how it happens. I suspect each is inhibiting melanin production in different ways. I’ve also read about a potential third strain of albinism in BN. Could this be the green dragon albinos? Alyssa spoke of some of her albinos looking spotted and the dragon albinos looking smooth - and I agree that hers look more yellow than other albinos I’ve seen. I’ve also noticed this yellow tinge in pics of some albino lines I’ve seen but wasn’t sure if it was just the image color vs. real life color. Can either you or Alyssa speak to this subject of different albino strains in BN a bit?
