G'day mate, the suspense, the drama... that's just exiting the canoe. The reflections are once again superb, always enjoy watching them created. What a beautiful spot to be creative, just the sounds of wildlife and the scrape of brush on canvas. The highlight (pun intended) for me is the little flecks of highlights placed in just the right place to draw the eye and make the painting 'pop'. A satisfying tutorial on light and tone with a little geology thrown in. Who could ask for more. Cheers mate, Rich

As I saw You packing Your Canoe I spontanously thought about Monet who painted sometimes on a little Boat. Much like Your Canoe. The Painting really shows The calm and clear Colours on overcast Days. The Reflections in the Water looked great.

Oh yeessss. Hell, you get about mate. Great stuff! You sound so subdued for being in the wild but then I have to remember you have probably just taken that beautiful but weighty canoe from off your shoulders after lugging it about. Lots of knacker goes into your vids I can see that. Thoroughly such a pleasure to receive your sharing and see the landscapes of course, your fingers flying that palette knife over the canvas as well. Your camera taking some lovely tones still. Really makes your videos sing. 👍❤️👍

👋Hi, Richard, here you are again with a small but fine work of art and interesting video material, spiced with explanatory words. Very nice painting, even without azure sky, I like the color harmony, the soft reflections on the water and the representation of the rough shore boundary; are the walls of sandstone ? Pelicans and birdsong on top - perfect RME Art. Thank you, Richard, for your always "awesome stuff". ❤👍

Amazing. I would love to see your camera set-up. Your production skills are as amazing as your beautiful paintings.
Hello Richard. We can see how passionate and enthusiastic you are: you go to great lengths to find the right places to paint whatever the weather. The result is worthy of your efforts. Despite the cloudy sky, your painting is bright and once again the reflections in the water are magnificent. Take care.

Ha!! This was great! Reminded me just a little of the Monet studio boat. A different tool I know, but still, getting to where u feel inspired. As always thank u for the content. Ive been enjoying ur channel for years & u r still surprising me. Some of ur work feels even more abstract & from my eye, thats a compliment. I enjoy abstract realism & ur landscapes r still anchored by just enough representational form to inform us all that u r not just reacting to ur own choices. U r reacting to the world around u while showing the viewer a personal reaction through color, value, & intersecting edges. Absolutely unique, ur own style, & for my taste beautiful work!

Hi Richard. Thank you for all your great videos!!! Have you ever mixed bees wax into your oil paint? Most of the time I use the palette knife for my oil paintings. I can go really thick, rough, and also sculptural. Most of the time I paint alla prima. Recently I found that two of my paintings started to crack. It's at some of the places that I painted more thinly. It seems to happen where I would scrape some paint away for texture and it's thinner. I understand the fat over lean principle. I guess this has not happened to you before? And yes I do not use the best quality oil paint. Side note: I miss camping and fishing, I am a South African living in China, Beijing. With many lockdowns on this side I do not get many chances to go out.

Thanks! Haven't used bees wax. I done get cracking problems if painted wet on wet! Cheers and happy painting :-)
