Where were you? Looked a bit like the gorges near Hills End, NSW, but it obviously wasn't. I had a lot of trouble depicting the depth and the colours of a viewpoint from one of those gorges. I would be interested to see you tackle a deep gorge from the top. Thanks very much for your work.

BTW, you can thin oil out with walnut oil and the spread will be 3x easier for painting. Jose Trujillo does that in his oils, which are half palette knife, half brush.

I hate that cameras don’t pick up all the beautiful colors in landscapes.. not just this camera but all cameras… there is photoshop and other apps to get the colors close and artists like Richard to get the colors more vibrant… but it would be so nice to capture a landscape true to the actual one. I can’t count how many times I’ve snapped a pic of a landscape, got home, looked at the pic and been like WTH happened to all those beautiful colors and definitions.. never tried plen air. I’m too much of a perfectionist and would lose the light/shadows and would be chasing them and I would make a mess
