The painting and the think paint strokes looked lovely in the sun.

Really great Turner! ... Like how there's spots of the white canvas left here and there ... The sky area around treetop just shines ... As always love your spontaneous thick paint application...

This past weekend I attempted my first truly plain air painting. I was glad that you talked about the summer greens because I found the greens to be overwhelming. It is great to watch you paint. It is a learning experience every time.

Stunning landscape Turner. This is the second time i see youre videos.I like it a lot you free hand how you bring the paint on the canvas indeed like Vincent ho was born 45 minuts from where i live 😉 I like even that tempo of painting. Not easy but you now what you are doing. Love to see more videos from you. Go on go on....👍

Hello Turner, what a magnificent landscape! You have represented it very well and we feel this imposing mountain in your painting. The colors chosen are beautiful as always. We understand that you can be tired at the end of each session: you put so much energy into it. Well done again and thanks for sharing.

It’s crazy, I was just thinking to myself, I wonder when Turner will post another painting video. And then there it was. This kind of thing happens often. Very nice! The light is super bright also this time of year.

Hi Turner, I have been watching a few of your videos this am. I love how you build up your painting: going from messy to perfection using what appears to be impasto. It is interesting watching you put layers of paint on the canvas to create a wonderful scene, in your style.

Paul are we watching the same video??? He starts out messy and continues to be messier throughout the painting...where's there perfectionism???? Or realism....wow some people really do have such different "eyes "....

Hello Turner, I’m from Australia, and I’m very happy that you are submitting your works in progress. I really do enjoy the creative process and I’m enjoy your style, in fact it fascinates me. You have a beautiful country as a source of inspiration. In this work over a few days, I watched as the scene unfolded to represent what you see and what you wanted to show. It was marvellous, and thank you for that demonstration, the end product I hope to see when you put the final touches to it.

What a fantastic view and the artist of Montana, thank you so much for what you keep doing for people like me who couldn't travel that far. The painting is absolutely amazing as always. Inspired me so much to get up and start painting right after I watched your video each time even though it didn't come out like yours of course!😆

Yay!!! You put out a video!!! I wanted to let you know that because of your class-i see an improvement in my art! I even saw mistakes AS I WAS DOING THEM! I don't know how to explain how it changed my paintings. Are you going to have like a part 2 to your class? In wanting to do the private thing but I'm actually afraid to have you judge my paintings... even though it will help me! 😆🤣lol

Gonna be honest... I’m actually really jealous of your hair... it’s grown so fast and thick... kinda hate you for it 😆 100% agree about all the green... here in mid Missouri... it’s the only color right now...😬🤦🏽♀️ Love the foreground in this painting with the fallen tree. Really dress your eye into the painting and then up to the mountain.

Your paint is nice and buttery, unlike some of mine which is a pain, especially the titanium white and ultramine blue. Also your lovely big moppy brushes they look great for depositing wet on wet, Do you ever stain your canvas or nearly always go with the white? Cheers Turner, enjoy your work and KZbin stuff.
@turnervinson2 жыл бұрын
thanks Jim! I occasionally will tone my canvases, but most often just go with the white of the gesso.

Congratulations on this painting. Looks really great! Can I ask you a question?.. I paint for many years but i keep struggling with it. In my own style of abstract expressionism I have plenty of ideas, maybe too many, but I'm so insecure to make decisions about which direction to go. I often hesitate to start a new work when I'm not sure if all the effort and spending's on it will pay off. Or should I just recreate the paintings that I'm satisfied with in a different color or something..? Do you have any ideas that can help me, to find my flow again, so to say. I would highly appreciate to hear your thoughts on this. Many thanks and blessings.

I don't get why some painters insist on writing as such....very sloppy style. This is not impressionism, nor writing with loose brushstrokes... It's just plain sloppy....
