I live in East Texas! Lol! The bug spray. I understand that!! I just started Plein air painting and I was shocked at how difficult the forest is! All the green and it’s dark in the woods. I like how you expressed the woods. How you brought lite in. It’s a struggle for me. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Turner. What an amazing piece. Absolutely perfect for me! I love greens and have benefited so much from these videos as I venture out and do plein air in forested areas. As a last touch you did about six little touches of light green horizontally (ascending slightly on the right ) behind the foreground trees. What foresight. It is perfect and gives the viewer the impression of a band of low ground or grassy area. So simple but it did it all for me. Anxiously awaiting more vids. Stay safe.

How do you not have more paint on you than just your hands? 😆 That was a hard composition to tackle, and yet you pulled it off well. I love the depth you created in the center of the painting. You can really feel that the forest continues deep down into the center of the canvas. Great job. The amount of paint you sling around and your style is very freeing. Thanks for sharing!

My kid moved from CA to Houston. I can relate to the bugs, heat , rain.... Texas ain't for the weak!! LOVE the silent video style!! We all know how to paint HERE! Incredibly tough scene....no thx, I'll stick to the easy stuff.

Oh my god turner this is my favourite demo from you forests n trees are my favourite subjects I live near ancient oak n yew woods in co kerry n am always struggling from what I see here its you are capturing the essence of the place I will attack my poor canvas with way more paint in the morn thank you

Henderson in the woods... looks like late summer.... surprised it took so long to put on the skeeter spray. About 10:25, I can actually see mosquitos hovering around your palette. lol. Love your stuff, especially the plein air work.

Beautiful work, Whats your favourite green Turner? I like using, Viridian, Chrome of oxide and Emerald the best🎨👍

thanks Tez. I don't really use that much green normally. This painting is certainly the exception, haha. For years I never ever had a green on my palette, and then a few years ago added an emerald and sometimes a phthalo green as well. never used chrome of oxide though, maybe I should try it out.

shorts in the forest??? when I was a child yes now we are infested with tiques from Vermont! I even wear cross country gear over pants and walking boots not taking any chances.
