Awesome, I was hooked as soon as I saw the shade ,had another Younger days, Dai ja vue!! I'm telling ya TV!!! I've been to some of your locations in a past life ,haha, no really they're sooo familiar ,these eye catching gems of nature that you so skillfully choose ,.I had to save this one too, I put aside the practice pieces I was working for,and jumped straight into the pine shade .I like it alot ,very "cool" looking ² Nice nice painting. I'd love to purchase a print or perhaps this piece itself. Keep on trekking. TV!!

In fact I'm trying to paint it again, just like you did . I'm very new to "painting" but of course have been enthralled since the age of 9 when my parents surprised me on my bd with an easel and all the works but I let it lie regrettably for 50 years and now I sometimes feel I'd lost all that brush time but it kindles its purposes through seeing the magic and relevance in just watching the artist in you ,thanks again. It's a vicarious entitlement for approaching that which was for so long ,miscues. However there is an island chain in thr atolls of the carribbean that people are reclaiming ones youth by escaping the dominant order on shore and living out their lives ,some are 135 years old and I'm convinced it's all in the exfoliation and the absence of most clothing, a friend of mine tells me after sailing through this paradise and staying a while, that really all you need to wear is a beer hugger and some Costas hahahahahahaha hahahahahahaha It's a commitment to becoming a drifter rogue bronzed laid-back longevity beach king though, I hear they'll exile you for arguing too loud over how to make the perfect mudslide !!! Yep imagine that? 😊🤏

Absolutely wonderful! ... Luv the the way you used that big brush to block in the darks ! ... That's one way to keep it simple ... Nice alive feeling in foreground shadow areas ... Abstract brush strokes with that impasto you always create a unique painting

Can't win them all Turner. Maybe you've got artist's block or heaps of paint that you won in a comp that you need to get rid of hence the super thick impasto kindergarten approach. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Happy painting. 👍

Yes kids' drawings can be so inspirational. I can see their influence in some of your work. The bold spontaneous brush stokes and untethered free spirit. Love that about your work.
@jimreid96742 жыл бұрын
That's just a highly saturated mess at this stage Turner, it doesn't convey that landscape at all. Just looks like an illustration fir a kid's book. Your habit of putting out far too much paint is bad work practice, maybe you use it for other paintings, I hope so, I hate seeing good materials going to waste. Putting out too much paint is just as bad as not putting out enough, in some ways worse. Not a good look.

Yes, always get the grey values perfect during a hurricane and my huge canvas never blows away thanks to my super heavy impasto work weighing it down. Learned that from watching heaps of Turner's KZbin vids. His paintings NEVER blow away.
