You have such beautiful scenery to paint, but today was in the 40's here. I would freeze to death there. I'm glad you enjoy it. I enjoy watching you enjoy it. Love the painting!

My sister in law works at the gallery in Hamilton and she just loves your stuff (and introduced me to your videos)! Watching you paint the bitterroot valley makes me feel like I’m on vacation! Thanks for sharing!

You paint in such a dynamic and free way, Turner. reminiscent of VanGogh.? And your brushes are a kick especially the stub one you used.!! WOW!! You certainly use a LOT OF PAINT!!!

I live in Hawaii. Never painted in snow. That would be a brave move for me. You’ve captured the essence of the bright winter day. Love your plein air painting!

You are so quick in deciding on the composition. Love it!

Thanks! I’d pretty much determined the composition before starting. Sometimes it doesn’t translate the way I expected, but this time it did!

Turner is it legal for me to try to paint the spot at about 9 on this video or is it ok with you. Love your work and I want to get up there sometime and attend one of your workshops. Thanks so much for sharing with all of us.

Do you add gel to your paint to thicken it? My paint is too thin to paint impasto so I added Gesso. It helps a bit.

Omg is it my birthday! 2 videos in like a week! Thank you Turner! I am entranced while watching you paint anything, but especially the Bitterroot series!(ok! And the sunflowers!) I love them! I was wondering, what color blue(and the brand) is that on the left bottom closest to you? I have been looking at the store and can not, for the life of me, match that color. If I add white to my cerulean blue I can slightly match it...but I can't find the tube of THAT SPECIFIC blue YOU are using. Thank you🥰

Happy, happy birthday!! The color you’re talking about is Celestial Blue from Neveskalia Palitra, a Russia brand. Mine is from the Ladoga line of colors. A guy in Salt Lake City sells Russian art supplies and his website is ProArtSuppliesUSA.com. Look there and if you don’t see it, email me and I’ll give you the guys contact info!

Hi Turner, Your work is wonderful. Sorry in advance for the equipment question…..I’m looking to get a plein air easel. The easel you are using here is a Russian made Yarka. I have a U.S. based source for this easel in small medium and large. Do you happen to know which size you are using ? looks like a large to me…. One way to tell is how many sections in each leg…3 or 4. Thanks, Jesse
@turnervinson2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jesse, yes, this is the large size. I also have the medium size as well.
@jessekramer37772 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply, I decided to go with the Medium from the dealer in SLC. It arrives Friday. Maybe a Large in the future. Thanks for the inspiration through your art. Jesse
