Great review, and I can only agree, after 2h of riding my Plews does still look pretty good in shape and haven't found a spot where this one doesn't hold up

I have just bought the grand prix tyre and medium mousse from Plews ans really happy with it. Going to get an extream set up from them next

What does the rebound in the rubber feel like when you twist it with your fingers in comparison to the michelin extreme. The michelin reminds me of liquorice sweets in its tackiness and the slow return to shape.

Very similar but I’ll have to do a side by side comparison. But this tyre is good. Liking it. And they have a more aggressive one coming, same compound and taller knobs. 😁

@@RobboRobinson Jus picked one up. I've never tried the Michelin as they are hard to get here in the states. I have one side by side with a Dunlop AT81EX. The Plews knobs feel stiffer yet more "tacky/sticky" and has a much slower return than the Dunlop. Going to mount it up with a Tubliss/Mousse Hybrid for super soft setup and see how she does this weekend.

@@PrimalEndurowhere did you order the plews tire in the states? Eager to try the extreme

Have you ever run a rear trials tire? Very popular here in the states as long as it's not a mud race or sand. For trail riding it's untouchable.
@enduroskillstraining6 ай бұрын
I have. We have an event here called Corinium Enduro which requires trial tyres. I personally don't think it's needed anymore, so many soft tyre options available which provide better cornering stability. :)

How would you say this tire compares to the Xgrip escalator or Michelin Extreme?

Same or better ;)

@@enduroskillstraining I've never tried the Michelin, but rode the Plews Extreme over the weekend after 2 inches of rain and have to agree! It did very well!

@@PrimalEnduro there's a new one due out this week called the Spec B tyre. Same as the Tough One but taller knobs so slightly more aggressive and will wear even better!

@@enduroskillstraining I was surprised that the tire was not as "Gummy" as I expected when it arrived. Compared to the Dunlop AT81EX it is relatively stiff but the rubber itself is much more "Tacky" feeling. Risk Racing is bringing them into the US and even offering a money back guarantee! who offers that on a tire..... ever?

what front tire are you running?
@enduroskillstraining3 ай бұрын
Love the Michelin but it loses side knobs way too fast. Then switched to Mitas C19 green which has been my all-time favourite. Recently tried the Plews Medium front and wow, massively impressed. My new favourite front.

Did anyone use it with tubliss?

Yes I have used the Extreme with Tubliss, 4 days in Romania. Worked great.
