The album is great but this song is an absolute masterpiece with the sax solo. One of the sexiest things I’ve heard in a long time

I know this comment is a year old, but check out Rivers of Nihil's "The Silent Life" and "The Void from Which No Sounds Escapes". I've been playing sax since i was 11 and absolutely love that it can fit with metal perfectly

as a loud, often heavy guitar and jazz sax player, this was absolutely stunning to stumble upon. I am completely addicted and completely confused as to how this works so incredibly well.
@GrapeFlavoredAntifreeze2 жыл бұрын
The sax is a very emotionally expressive instrument, so when you combine it at its most profound and emotional with extremely heavy distortion which provides tenfold intensity to any song, what you have is something that your brain didn’t know it needed in music

The sax solo rips! When it kicks in over the low drop A guitar chord it climbs the A major scale but dwells and screams on a sharp 4th…..twice. So basically going Lydian mode at that point. Such an unexpected but great note. Could listen to that forever.

This song tries too hard to establish itself as a unique entity, so much that it doesn't belong to any listenable group it just floats between what's manageable to listen to, rather than whats essential to listen to. Almost there, but not quite.
