All the forms were like a count down to Kaigaku's death. He never stood a chance. If Zenitsu started with form 7, this fight would be insanely quick but I think he wanted to give Kaigaku one last chance at redemption and wanted to see the other forms one last time and observe them, So he could possibly pass them down.

@@darshan.b685 Yeah... But Zenitsu could be written better for example his final confrontation with Kaigaku has little to no proper buildup in the manga. For example how about Zenitsu actually seeing how Kaigaku killed his mentor, starts to battle him in pure rage only to get his asked kicked by Kaigaku that even asleep with his breathing attack he has no chance against it because Kaigaku knows exactly how Zenitsu attacks because he only knows this one attack. Zenitsu only survives because Tanjiro and Inosuke interfere before Kaigaku can land the final blow. Now we know why Zenitsu creates the seventh breathing style.

I like how Uushiro says that Zenitsu would lose if this battle happened even a year later, but we know that the reality is that if Zenitsu was REALLY locked in and was not trying to cope with the fact that he would have to kill someone he deeply respected, he would just one tap him instantly even if this fight happened 20 years later. Also to think that Zenitsu was able to cut Kaigaku's neck without a mark is also insane. Imagine lil bro with a mark, red nichirin and transparent world with 5+ years of training.

it's a dumb way of trying to downplay characters, it's crazy how many times they do this in Demon slayer, every time it pisses me off. talking like 1 year isn't an insanely long period of time and zenitsu wouldn't have been insanely stronger than he was here. this is why reality doesn't work on what ifs. what if kaigaku had 1 more year, even if he did the outcome wouldn't have changed, he would get killed regardless.

Not a hashira lvl yet. But Zenitsu is closer to getting there. It literally says that Kaigaku is a new UM, he doesn't fully know how to use his techniques and Blood demon art yet. If Zenitsu finds Kaigaku one year after he becomes a demon, Zenitsu stands no chance against him. Everyone hype over Zenitsu fighting the UM by himself, but people do forget that he's not on a Hashira lvl yet. He fights a freshly new UM who doesn't know what he's capable of. Lucky that Zenitsu ended Kaigaku early before he awakened his full potential.
