Honestly I’ve been thinking that for a very long time I always thought Blackbeard was working for the elders because think about it he gave the marines ace and wanted to hand over luffy too and he also attacked the revolutionaries for no reason and most importantly gave them there location, also Kazan joining them seems so random but for me the most convincing part is the very nature of the story itself Blackbeard and imu both seem like the final villain and oda said there will be a finale war much bigger then mirenford at the end of the show so the only way to make that happen is to combine Blackbeard and imu vs the rest of emperors and the revolutionary army does this sound realistic?

Nah I think they're all too powerful for anymore alliances maybe unless luffy teams up with buggy and them for the final battle or something I just don't see bb doing that. I feel hes set up perfectly for end game and his devil fruit makes him one of the strongest against df users. I think only shanks, luffy, ect could only match him haki wise. Mind you he already scarred shanks before he got that powerful as well.

My thoughts & opinions of the chapter: 1. If Shanks was trying to test Bartolomeo's loyalty to Emperor Luffy, do you think he would have done the same thing with the Kid Pirates? If so, then perhaps putting the safety of their capitan over the road Poneglyphs may not have been as cowardly as most people stated? 2. Assuming Luffy were to learn what happened to Bartolomeo, do you think he will try to avenge one of his Grand Fleet capitans, or accept that Bartolomeo was wrong & Shanks did the right thing? 3. Idk what the Blackbeard Pirates are trying to gain from the Revolutionary Army after what happened the last time, but will Dragon & his forces be lucky enough to avoid facing them again? 4. With the SH & their allies scattered for now, do you think that the next chapter will automatically start the Elbaf Arc, or we still get more post-egghead updates?

i think oda is trying to give luffy a reason to not hold back when he and shanks will meet and fight for the straw hat. Its also a tough spot for luffy to judge how to act since the first action came from barto

reply to 1. No he likes Luffy. Barto got off with as much of a pass as he did because he was 1, not threatening an entire fleet with destruction like Kid, and 2, is friends or nominally a fan of Luffy. Losing one copy of your rubbings isn't quiet the same as losing your fleet or your lives.

I feel like the fairy saved him. He probably was warned and he used barrier. I have a feeling the ship exploded only the top part and the lower part was protected. The fairy may have then cloaked the ship with the wreckage smoke / fog. They would let them escape with their ship virtually destroy but intact enough to paddle it. Just imagine how much more badass if Yassop shot the ship specifically to destroy it like that to show the city strength + keep a certain crew safe that loves Luffy and Ussop
