This is old. But, Batman Beyond was so popular that DC comics adapted it into it's own title. There's some issues that are more in line with the cartoon. But DC's "Canon" Batman Beyond is a little different than the show.

I haven’t seen the video but paused during the pre-video ad. Because in my head canon he was arrested for being a violent criminal who roams the streets in his fetish-wear looking for victims to assault, and for aiding and abetting other criminals by making sure they can’t be prosecuted because when found beaten and tied up near a drug stash, they are innocent victims with nothing to link them to any crimes, unless the police have independent evidence to arrest them anyway, making Batman’s involvement pointless and an inconvenient and unnecessary impediment to prosecution.
