Plough Lane Caravan Site, Chippingham, North Wiltshire

We went to Plough Lane Touring Caravan Park, in Chippingham, North Wiltshire towards the end of May 2022. We were attracted by its website description and the fact that it is adult only. They rate themselves as 5 star. Unfortunately the best we could give it is 3 1/2 stars. Did we miss something? Were we just unlucky? We would be keen to hear about your experiences.

We just came across your videos. We were regular visitors to Plough Lane even storing our van there for several years. We returned in late 2023 after many years away to be thoroughly disappointed. When Roger and Helen owned it, it was immaculate, upon our return we found mould in both ladies and gents toilets, showers not working, toilet cubicles closed and overgrown bushes. Total lack of staff to talk to and the barrier was permanently up even though they still charged for a pass. It is such a shame to see the state it has become.

We couln't agree with you more. We had heard good things about it but the new owners clearly don't have the same passion.

We stayed in July 2021. Up to about 2019 it was family owned and very well kept. Said family retired and sold to new owners who don't love it as much. Still not a bad site but not as nice as it once was, so we tend to echo your comments.
