I bought this same machine (2ts7t) in August. I used it a week and told my dealer I wanted the (3ts8t). The reason was was the high pitched whine in the hydraulics. The 2 is the new model and I think JCB needs to do some better sound proofing on it. I love my 3ts. It weighs about 2500 lbs more than the 2ts and is so much more machine. I liked the 2 other than the noise but I'm so much happier in the 3. The controls are a little jumpy but you get use to them. It has 3 modes so on mode 1 you can eliminate a lot of the touchy stuff. I'm guessing he had it on mode 3 when he was plowing which makes it really sensitive on the controls. They are expensive but to me it's worth it. Note: I'm in my 60s and have ran or owned just about every skidsteer out there.

Try this to make your garage doors easier to deal with: on your first pass, stay 24” away from the doors, on your second pass, then get close to the door, this will reduce the trailing edge of snow left by the doors.

Bought an 8ts-3t having never operated a ctl before, to clear land/ trees in my yard and to clear the occasional Alaskan snowstorm. Easy access zirks are great, quick attach works in sub-zero & caked with ice. 3 speed settings range from twitchy to Micheal j fox. Wouldn't have noticed the noise mentioned, i expected it to be louder. Having gimpy leg the side door is amazing. Only thing i can think of now that I'd like would be a small slide window on the right side for communicating.

My 82 year old Dad replaced his 257 Cat with a JCB. It’s a nice machine and has some good features. For him it means he can safely use it by himself without the danger of climbing over the attachment to enter the cab. Visibility is better than any skid steer I have ever ran, and I have been in them since 1986!

I always wore a hard hat and seat belt when I plowed with a Bobcat. If you hit a hidden obstruction you might go head first into the windshield. One of our operators did just that and he said wearing hard hats was stupid. Learned the hard way. I also wore hearing protection.

We run a JCB 3TS 8T for our mobile rock crusher for clean up. Decent rig, controls are really touchy though. Hydraulics are really fast and can be dangerous if you aren't careful. But, one you get used to it. A very capable machine

I couldn't agree more. If you run iso controls you should always use the foot throttle. The only time I've personally ever used the throttle dial is when running a brush mower or trencher.

"That colour tho!" I commented on one of your videos before about that colour. We bought a Teleskid this spring and the colour is absolutely awesome. Ours is 3ts-8t model which is the bigger one. I love the visibility and there is a lot more room between the cab and the tracks. The controls were jumpy at first like you said, but we run ours in the 3rd mode and after you run it for a while it's pretty smooth.

So I’m demoing one of these exact model machines right now. I wanted to mention that they do a lifetime warranty on the loader boom from the factory. I plowed snow with it the other night and it seems pretty good...however...the steering controls are terrible!! I run all sorts of equipment all the time snd I can usually adjust fairly quickly to different controls, but this thing I couldn’t make it stop trying to pop my head of my neck. They also told me it was adjustable, but if it’s adjustable and all of the customers are bitching about it why not change from the factory? I felt like the loader controls were slow, snd the track system was over sensitive. I also noticed that it sat lower to the ground and it had ice balls crushing up between the track and bottom of the cab. This is very minor but it was a bit annoying that every time I got in snd out I was getting snow and mud on my pants from rubbing on the track and then it gets rubbed on the front of the seat from the back of my pants. Still trying to figure out if I want one of these, a John Deere or a cat.

Any company that puts in a battery in a hard to access area should put in some easy access jump start terminals. It doesn't matter if it is a car or equipment if it has a hard to access battery it should have an easy access set of terminals as it would not be hard to setup.

Demo the 3TS-8T. Also have the dealer dial in the controls to your liking. From there you have 3 drive setting and 3 loader settings you can quick change on the dash. Huge difference in control and responsiveness. They leave the factory with just a generic setting.

I will never enjoy a skid loader unless it has hand foot pilot controls. Controls aren't a highlight of this jcb, but I could see the delay from your joystick movement to machine movement in the video, and that in itself would drive me away from the machine like all the other brands that have transitioned to electronic controls. I ran a s770 with hand and foot controls as my main unit. I tried many other skid loaders, and I kept coming back to bobcats hand foot setup. Having those twin sticks let's you feel the machine to a whole new level, and it's something I need to be able to runa skid loader anymore. Great review on the Machine. Also, that colour tho!

Invest in a echo 8010 or 9010 back pack blower. I use only a backpack blower with a snow shovel attachment. Not required but really does help. Can also remove ice from pavement or concrete. I like no broken pins, an i like being able to go anywhere. An its not a one season toy. When your exhaust is ran down the tube of your blower. Its going to help the breaking up of snow an ice. KZbin has lots of demo videos. This is your best tool for concrete under one year old. Also your not called the berm king.

I don’t think that single arm boom would last very long with the snow plow attachment. Too much side load on it. Having linebored several they seem like a safe design from an operators prospective but just a small amount of play in the boom caused lots of wear and rubbing on the frame/saddle/boom.

The jcb's are challenging for inexperienced or unfamiliar operators to the machine. To avoid track hop and unnecessary acceleration the operator much learn proper throttle control with the pedal, there's nothing wrong with the machine. The issue i have with the machine is i believe jcb compromised cab stability to achieve the vision and cab layout. Great for snow and landscaping, not long term heavy construction
