My grandpa can remember what a big deal this was when deere went to inline six power, and that the local deere dealer was the hot spot for all the farmers talking about them! He also had to wait awhile because there was a back log for the 4010D! John deere really thru a left hook at ihc when they brought these tractors out!

that is really neat,your grand dad had a top of line machine back then,i wish i could of drove my 1963 turbo'd 4010 when it was new,but i wasn't born yet when it was made..also spent a lot of time behind a heat houser on a m farmall with a f10 loader feeding cattle when i was a youngster,it really sucked...but better than being out in the open...

this video had to of been made in 1962. Fl45 plow didn't come out till 1962

Randy, you could be right. The film may have been shot in the spring in 1962. (We would plow the peat ground in the spring). My memory, as a little kid, the fall of 1961, the 4010 was pulling a three bottom pull type case plow, because the f145 plow Dad bought with the 4010 could not be delivered just yet. Buy the way, the 5th bottom on that plow could be bolted on or off.

@@pigsty-productions yeah at times a 4 bottom is a good work out for my 4020. We are on some what hilly ground with clay nobbs.

What do you think the guy was thinking on the seat? Think he'd have believed you if you told him JFK would be dead in 2 years, a man would be on the moon in 8 and somewhere around there segregation would be illegal, too? Couldn't even tell him we've gotten ourselves into a "couple more vietnams" in the middle east, he'd have no idea what you were talking and probably wouldn't believe we'd ever lose a war again fresh off korea.
