Thank you for the clean and wonderful explanation! I have a question regarding the 200 observations you assumpted in the video. Is the 200 just an assumption or it means the dataset that you imported into SmartPLS for data analysis? Since in my case, I have 62 samples and I used 62 samples to complete the in-sample prediction to check the R square value, f square effect, and Q square value. The next step is to evaluate the out-of-sample prediction. But if I accept the k (fold) =10, and since I have 62 samples. 62 can not divide 10 into a whole number, it is a decimal number. So I am confused about the "observations". Looking forward to your reply! Thanks in advance.

Hi, thank you. here 200 was just an assumption. With a small sample such as 62 observations, I would not use 10 folds as each fold should have a good number of observations. You might use 2-folds.

Thank you for your quick reply sir!!! Does it mean that the observations mean the total sample use for the data analysis that I imported in the SmartPLS? And the number of observations divided by k should be a whole number without decimal? Cause actually I ran the PLS Predict procedure with k=10, and repetition=10, it got the results, I was wondering why the result can come out with k=10.

Kindly help me out!! My PLS RMSE values are lower than LM RMSE. Similarly, Q2 value is higher in PLS as compared to LM. However, the problem arises in MAE and MAPE as the values calculated are higher in PLS RMSE and lower in LM. What should I do????
