Really good. Not a lot on this limiter since it came out a while back, but I think you nailed iits processing strengths and the proper techniques for using it. I was surprised how well it kicked in with minimal loss on the dynamic range.

In these instances there wasn't any limiting going on just saturation and gain boost. The signal was still below the gain reduction threshold but I guess you got enough volume without limiting.

Nice!!! Once you said definition in the low end I got the smile right away. I heard it immediately when the processed signal was played. Great tutorial, we mostly work on Hip Hop would love to see a Hip Hop tutorial using this plugin. We currently use a few different plugins in our chain and for limiting we use the Slate Digital FX-G but this is much more versatile.

Strange video, you are not actually doing any limiting, the peak stop is doing a little, but there is no reduction going on in either the mid low, mid high or the side. Basically you are using it here as a mid side matrix and just adjusting the gain of the bands. The XL feature you could just use the BX saturator. This isn`t really a demonstration of what this thing can do at all, in terms of limiting.

Great video! I am not sure to understand how does the sidechain feature work; what does the sidechain signal control? The part when you say the sidechain mix bring some mids to the side confuse me a little. It seems to me that you're not limiting at all, am I right? Thank you

+ErnestXFX Yes, that tends to happen too often with limiters. Try using something like the bx_refinement before the limiter to remove harshness. and No I'm not endorsed by this company :)

A little confused here, you show a track named "DRY" and compare with track named "GAGOMAS" but in the screen ever only show the bx-XL instance from GAGOMAS with a +9dB boost input and with the GAGOMAS fader down -9dB!!! why! May be the best option to compare a real changue are use ONLY one track with ON/OFF the plugin in this track. Really confusing.

Yeah... I'm so lost. the only compression done was on the first song, and it was 1-2 db. Is that right? otherwise it was just increasing the volume?
