Around 2000 or so Antares had a specialty standalone module (I think it was Infinity) whose sole purpose was taking a sound and looping it seamlessly. It was kind ahead of its time for what it did by removing the work involved in getting a sustaining sound if that's what you wanted. So it was a loop finder combined with a pad maker. It wasn't real time but it worked quite well.

Linplug Spectral, released 2013. I worked on a few presets and expansions for this. An awesome digital synth with additive and FM capabiliities and a really rich sound that still cuts through to this day. The ability to design your own filters, another great feature, is something I haven't seen in many synths even now. Nothing sounds quite like it and I love the way it can blend in with both analog and more digital sounding synths. Yeah, IK multimedia's Hammond pretty much buries most other attempts at this sound. I write a lot of Soul, Funk Hip Hop and Prog Rock and it's my go to for this. Although, I think there maybe a reason for some musos preffering the B4 other than just familiarity. The B4 has a lot thinner sound, that in some circumstances may be prefferable since it can fit in a mix more easily. Although, EQs are a thing, so...As well as breeding contempt, familiarity can also be said to build unnecesary attachment, I guess.

I'm not sure, I use windows. M1 came on the scene in 2020 and some companies are still catching up. So my guess would be no, because of when these plugins were released.

The folder heirarchy should be the same as it is on your system. So C:\ ProgramData . By default the ProgramData folder is hidden in Windows. Do a quick google search "how to show hidden folders and files" on google.

The b4 is super bright and that resonance is crazy. The tremolo hurts almost... lol. The b3 from ik multimedia has better bass frequencies and is louder, but it has a lot of high frequency information missing. Is it better to mix the two and use compression somehow to glue them together? Another question, it's it possible to use some kind of software patch bay to be able to use Mac software like Alchemy and Logic pro on pc? Does blue cat audio or someone out there have a software that can bridge the two and?
@Par1s3 ай бұрын
The IK B-3 has no high frequency information missing. That's just the default preset when you open the plugin with all the drawbars pulled. You can get it as bright as you want at so many different levels. Tonewheel profiles, chorus mix, stomp pedals (built in), leslie amp/eq settings, and there's also a 3 rack effects. The brightness also scales with the expression pedal position (Rare to find plugins like this but that's how real hammonds work.) The organ is brighter at full volume than at 30%. That's an interesting idea. You never know if it sounds good until you try it, but I'd probably avoid it. I imagine mixing the two is going to turn into a phase nightmare. As far as I understand, there's no way to run software written for Mac on Windows without an amount of work that would ultimately defeat the purpose. If you can find the old version of Alchemy (Pre-Mac) then you can run it on windows, but it's old and probably missing important features that most samplers have today (like drag and drop).
