Hi CB. You are right about the new trend to tare down and rebuild. It’s everywhere. Problem is they all look alike. Not much character. In 2018, I purposely purchased an historic house in historic Cold Spring. All Atlantic cedar built including the siding. Built 1890. I’ve had it professionally painted inside and out, windows, system and roof in great shape. I added a 12KW standby generator and new panels etc. The house has historic certification and I’ve been awarded a plaque from lower township. Im enjoying living in it and take great pride in my house. Thank you for your post. Joe from Cape May.

I'm with ya 100% CB. Repair work is my main focus as well. Sure I've had my share of the new construction but as long as I can keep paying my bills and staying afloat doing service work then them other boys can have all the new plumbing they want. I love working on old beat up stuff that nobody else wants to deal with

Absolutely love seeing a CLEAN construction site; and if ppl think new, remodel, etc work “is supposed” to be “messy”; you’d be wrong; as they should be rather clean and well organized b/c it says a LOT of the GC, PM, crew and subs working on the site, 8mo of course. Having a nasty dirty site makes for hard work, and working on those kind of sites, which if 8n grades….I’m sure like me, you’ve been there, but it not fun; and especially not fun when have disorganized PM and definitely GC ¹ Thx Chuck for the look around✌🏻 ¹ again my opinion and experience of course

Man, you speak the truth. Nothing worse than working in chaos. Tripping over stuff, looking for stuff....oh lord i could go on. Reorg.....every time it gets a bit missy....heard it from a friend....work slower to work faster... so true.

I had a JP give me some beat up bits when I worked with him he sharpened them and said they were good to go. That same day I went out and purchased my own and ill tell you it was night and day as far as production. The old heads never want to buy new tools.😂
