Join me today for mission impossible as I attempt to remove an old cast iron sink that's been caulked down to a Formica countertop and replace it with a stainless steel sink

I love that you still film even tho you can’t talk much. So many others just wouldn’t bother. Always pay attention and watch close! Great job !

After years of using those orange sponges to caulk installed fixtures, I now use micro fiber cloths. Try it out and see it’s difference in convenience, if you get the chance. Less rinsing, squeezing and picking out the orange specks when the sponges come apart. What you share is appreciated and useful, for sure. Thank you!

I feel your frustration on that basket strainer I've had them cheap strainer do the same thing now, the sinks that comes with them cheap strainers I throw the strainers in the trash and install the duo cup snap and lock about like the second strainer you installed, I keep deep ones and shallow ones on my van . Thanks Tim for the video, and I'd start saving myself headaches and throw the junk strainer baskets in the garbage where they belong.

Great job Tim. I like the idea of using pipe dope on the flange tail piece to hold the top hat washer. I have never seen that done before. I I will be doing the same thing from now on. Thanks for your the video, and keep on plumbing.

I like the fact that you use plumbers putty on top, I've seen a lot of folks just use the rubber gasket on top. Your way there is a double seal from the top and the bottom. Great Job!

Not the greatest situation to get into, but you got it done. I can't do a silicone job that you can stand to look at. Thank you for letting us watch, Tim. Stay safe and stay cool

What kind of pipe dope is that you're using? It looks like the old grip lite they quit making a few years back

What is the cause of the green coating on the valves and how do you prevent it?
@Ryanrock23 жыл бұрын
that was a cheap Duo basket strainer. Go with the deep strainer. A street 22 with an insert trap adapter into the female adapter would have made that drain hook up easier.

Sink wasnt even sealed. Breaking the adhesive is the only difficult part so this vid has little value

Why would you even try to use those cheap strainers they’re total garbage
