This is positive power of the Internet. It means I can watch a talk from a Vietnamese Buddhist monk in a French monastery recorded 16 years ago, while tucked up in bed late at night. The sharing of incredible wisdom from a master of his field. And its completely free.

I've looked at a fair few religions and I think my beliefs line up the best with Buddhism. I believe there is a sanctity in everything and the only true way to become closer to the divine is to recognise and respect that by truly understanding it and seeking out more about the universe and our world. No religion should negate humanity and life to focus on god but it is through our respect to all life that we unknowingly dedicate our lives to God.

This shows the great lengths to which we have gone to deny our sin and damnation, and the gift of salvation by faith in the only begotten Son of God who shed his blood to redeem us from sin, and rose from the dead as death could not hold him, giving eternal life to all who believe on Jesus from the heart. You must be born again, born of God. John 3:16.
@greenthumb8266 Жыл бұрын
Please don’t stay in the wrong perception that your upbringing or religious teachings have brought you to. Don’t you see that the very teaching, that you believe is from God, separates you from others and from God. Do you really want to worship a god who would create all life and then like a child, condemn it all to hell, and then, like a narcissists, claim that he sent his son to die so we (that it created) could beat death? Why didn’t this god create us perfect to begin with, not with bodies that age , that require consuming other living things to continue to live, that suffer pain and death? The Creator is loving and flows through all of us if we allow it. We are here to experience life in these bodies, with all their shortcomings, difficulties, pain and ultimately death, so that we can understand and appreciate pain free eternal life. PS the Creator doesn’t mind what you call it, it answers to all who seek a genuine authentic relationship with it. And it loves you so much, and wants you to love others without discrimination.
