Yo. Just bought these fins. How far back from the tail are you guys setting the center fin base or tip from the tail? I chopped a 2+1 8'4" down to a 7'0" and I'm waiting for another swell to give it another whirl. Just swapped out a 6.5" center fin with a pivot template(that was set about 7" from tail, slid it back to 6" for more stability) for this set up with the 6" center fin so I slid it back so that the tip of the center fi is 5" from the tail. Mind you the side bites are still about 15" from the tail. Frankly I'm just waiting for another hollow day to take it out and see. Can't imagine going closer than 4".
