I'll also show you how to style these clothes so that they look great on you and build your confidence in your body. We may be over 40 and plus size, but we can still dress stylish and have tons of fun doing it!

I am very pleased with you thrifting at a common Goodwill store as most places have at least one. I think the denim shirt looked great for a layered look. You do not need to be able to fasten it. It looks more balanced with it left open. I honestly feel like you did a better job finding clothes than the fancy stylists did for you. I would enjoy a thrift store clothing shopping series.

I'm impressed with your GW store. I've never been to one that has plus sizes separated by size & different prices on each item. I'm blessed with 3 small thrift stores, where I live, so I don't tend to shop for clothes, there, unless it's something that I can't find elsewhere. I'm used to paying $1-$2.50 for tops & jeans. The one thrift store has a $1/bag or 25¢/each room. 1 other store has half-priced Saturdays, and 2/3 stores have clearance sales on clothing during season changes - Winter to Spring and Summer to Fall. The other one has $1/piece clothing sales, as well.

I liked all the outfits you kept .I agree with you about the pants. The white boots aren't my style but they look very cute in you . I have a lot of thrifty clothes in my closet and I also donate a ton every year when I do a closet rehaul. If you have never watched hot mess mama . Please just watch the beginning of one of her videos where she says about being a judgment free zone and not letting the number on the scale or on your clothes define your happiness. My heart breaks when I hear someone ask for another to be kind. I guess being on social media warrants that because you take a chance on reading comments from people that might not like themselves, have huge burdens, are plain nasty. I have lost a couple of hundred pounds in the past three years, I can't express the pain I feel when people, friends, relatives, co workers, who never turned around to look at me now want to be my friend and are all over me. I'm still the same person on the inside, yes, I'm sure I look very different, but still the funny, kind person that I was. Going back to my first sentence, Misty, you are beautiful and so brave. We have charity shops in the UK and I love going to them when I can ,you just never know what bargains you may find, like that wrangler shirt ,that is a good one . I think it's a good place to buy holiday outfits from as you can wear them Christmas day and donate them back again . I liked all you found especially those boots 😀I would of brought them in a flash too !. Agree! My favourite skirt and dress lengths , which I always wear, are Midi or Maxi. I find them more flattering, on me, than shorter styles., and I'm only 5ft 4 inch tall. LOVE your hair at the beginning! Love the go go boots! Looking for a pair myself! A little hint about jeans - the very best fitting jeans on earth are Gloria Vanderbilt Amelia. They have two tags inside - one says Gloria and one says Amelia. Anderson Cooper's mama sure did make some great fitting jeans! I love the Michael Kors with a top over it. Yeah the belly is a problem for me too. But I love the color! Great color for winter! Yes! I love clothing thrifting! I don't do well at all at Goodwill. I do much better at Savers and at two others I don't know if you have Unique - they are great. And the other is Island Thrift - a big local one. Everything in my closet is thrifted. And that includes about 25 babydoll dresses (I am a Dolly Parton kinda girl - I refuse to dress my age!) Another thing that clothing thrifting was great for was when my mother was in the nursing home. In fact, they got me started on clothing thrifting. They suggested it because clothes always get lost there and I was spending too much money on clothes for her. Go Misty! I have this superpower. I find designer labels at super bargain prices!
