Your videos are extremely helpful. I'm almost done with my first ever plush and I've made tons of mistakes but I've also learned so much. I aspire to master this craft. Alot of it is thanks to you. There aren't many of these types of video creators on KZbin so with limited resources for learning plushmaking, I rly appreciate you taking the time to put this stuff out there and share your work. Thanks so much!

do you possibly have tips for someone who is hand sewing it? I have a machine but it scares me and I don't like using it because I have really bad coordination so the whole thing with the pedal and stuff doesn't really work out for me.
@makeshiftwingsplush2 жыл бұрын
you should look up some general tutorials on hand sewing. you'd still want to use a lot of pins to keep things in place. make sure your stitches are nice and small to keep things clean.

i can’t seem to find minky fabric other than at joan’s and it’s not very good quality do u have any other recommendations for other places to check out online and not ? :0

wait there's different needles for stretchy and nonstretchy fabrics? D:
@makeshiftwingsplush3 жыл бұрын
yep! they have different needle tips. if i remember correctly, non-stretchy needles (often called universal needles but there are also needles for materials like denim and leather) are designed to pierce the individual threads of fabric and stretchy needles are meant to slip through the individual threads. if you have issues with your stitches not being tight or holding well, using the wrong type of needle could be why.

Do you ever need to use a zigzag stitch for plushies?
@makeshiftwingsplush Жыл бұрын
i don't use them, but if you find your stitches are popping or tearing, you can try to see if it helps!

I’m not that far into vid, but have you thought about spraying the fabric with starch??
@makeshiftwingsplush3 жыл бұрын
I haven't considered it because I've never felt the need for extra security beyond pins. Never heard of using it on fabric before!
