There are differences between the models - the 8200 added infrared scanning to identify dust and scratches (Silverfast can then automatically remove them) and the 8300 is nearly double the scan speed.

For my thousand of 35 mm slides to be scanned I use the PLUSTEk 8100. I am satisfied but depends on the slides quality of course, 8100 is very good. I still have the 7400 it is in good condition.

Muuuuuuch too slow. Just scan with a full format; much faster an better. I have this scanner, don’t use it anymore. I also have a epson 850 which is also worse than SLR scanns. I only use my epson for 120 films. Forget the plustek

@@etienneportail5122 will try out DSLR scanning for myself soon, for now this is my setup. The slow scan times are definitely the drawbacks of a scanner like this
@khanharrisАй бұрын
Feel like it really just depends on your needs, I personally only scan my keeper shots, and love the resolution I get especially since I dont own a nice Mirrorless or DSLR for scanning. Quality makes the slowness worth it imo.

I find the Plustek to be easier and quicker than camera scanning as it’s always ready to go takes up very little space and produces equal and sometimes better results there’s no setting up of a camera having to have a macro lens and the space to set it all up but that’s just me.
@ludwigheldeis4104Ай бұрын
@GrandadsReviews one of the main points why I use it too :)
